    Help me with where to start

    This boulder is on the property we recently purchased. We're in NE Oklahoma. I've been curious about the origin of the rows of pits/holes in it but just now have time to really pursue an answer. I realize that there a good chance that it's not a fossil but I just don't know where to go for an answer. I would greatly appreciate any input or suggestions. The scale is indicated to some degree by my four-year-old's hand in the frame. Each hole/pit is about 1-1.5 cm wide. The rows are separated by about 6-10 cm. The entire stone is maybe a meter or so wide. I haven't seen any ot
