My son found this on the beach in Lewes, Delaware. It is a little over 1.5 cm long and 1 cm both wide and deep. Maybe it's a cool rock but it sort of seems shell like on the side. Appreciate any help!

Heres something I found yesterday in a Creek bed at the bottom of Kate's Mountain, in Harts Run which is located in Greenbrier County, West Virginia. Found lots of crinoid columnals, and brachiopod fossils as well, thanks in advance for any information! I apologize for my fossil ignorance but I am having such a great time finding them and learning!

A specimen from the 1970's or 1980's, but unfortunately date and specific locality are lost to the ravages of mind.... I would appreciate any help in un-Insertae sedising this one! The light blue grid is one inch.

Hello, I found this fossil last spring break, in Coahuila, Mexico. It comes from the late Campanian (73-71 Myrs) Cerro del Pueblo formation. I found several fossils at the same location where I found this fossil. Some of the fossils I found include Cerithium snails, several species of Physidae freshwater snails, Inoceramus sp., petrified wood with teredolites, ammonite fragments, a caudal vertebra from a Hadrosaurid, and plenty of dinosaur bone fragments. The formation is a mess, it’s composed of layers that were deposited in marine, and terrestrial environments, as well as rivers and possibly swamps. Even though I’m very knowledgeable of the formation, and the fossils that have been found there I still have no idea as to what this specimen is. My best guess at the moment is that it’s some type of plant material maybe a fruit or a seed. There have been numerous plant fossils found at the formation, including fruits. I also think this could be embedded in a coprolite, with the rounded object being embedded in it. Let me know what you guys think about it.

These have been passed down from parent to child for generations. Anyway we can no longer remember what these were originally identified as. Possible plants? I see rings and some spots where it looks like a branch would’ve grown.

Found North of Houston Texas USA in gravel load from Brazos River at first glance it seems to be a shell like pattern on the stone {why I picked it up} but the pattern seems to be the whole stone so thought perhaps compressed fossilized plant concretion? possible fossil wood? pulled out my macro camera and studied further....now I am stumped more photos to follow.....

Here's a mystery fossil I purchased at a yard sale. It has s few strange looking objects on it. I'm not sure if it's coral, crinoid, plant or animal. Anyone know?

Grandson found this in an outcrop of immature sandstone in the proximal fluvial facies of the Paleocene Fort Union Formation in Park County, Montana. My current guess, based on the age of the outcrop and the depositional paleo-environment, is that it is a fossil plant, although it doesn't look much like one.

I found this possible plant fossil. I am hoping for an id. Accompanying this fossil are brachiopods and other marine fossils. This fossil came from the Otter Formation in central Montana. The Otter Formation is listed as an open and semi-restricted marine. This formation is Meramecian and Chesterian Mississippian. The plant appears to be fibrous. No scale structure is present. In very fine sedimentary silty clay shale. These sediments capture fine details. I have included a photo of another fossil group of bryozoa to show the level of preservation of details.

Found this rock whilst walking along a beach in Jersey in the Channel Islands, I’m no expert but my instincts are telling me it was a plant rather than a creature of any kind. Hope someone can enlighten me.

I found 2 separate sets of these- 1 set on 2 different days in the Danube River in Germany. These look like teeth, but when I cleaned them they began to smell like skunk.... the more I cleaned, the stinkier they got. Anyone know if they are teeth, a plant, or something else entirely? It was very difficult to determine. (My husband is a dentist and initially he was certain they were not teeth, but after being cleaned, it was even more ambiguous.) I finally gave-up, took this picture, and threw them away... FAR AWAY! Thank you!

These are some open specimens I found at Mazonia Lakes. I think the set may be a crayfish. The other two seem to be some type of plant. I didn't know if I should soak these in vinegar. I am afraid if I do I may not be able to see the detail.
