I thought members might be interested in images of some pseudofossils in my mineral collection. Image 1 is of manganese oxide dendrites that were sold as a plant fossil in North Carolina. Image 2 is of a chrysanthemum stone that may be composed of a number of minerals (possibly feldspar in this sample); it is alleged to have healing properties. Image three is of a pyrite disc. Unlike some of my iron sulfide specimens it has not crumbled into an oxide pile over the years as a result of exposure to atmospheric humidity.

Evening all. I don't think any of these warrants its own post, as they're just "unusual rocks" that I picked up on the Suffolk beach in the UK I comb regularly. I appreciate any and all input.

Hello everyone! Today I went to Mentone, Victoria (Australia/Down Under) and found what I think + hope to be marine fossil specimens. I was hoping to get your views on whether they are real or pseudofossils. I have looked at information regarding fossils from the nearby Beaumaris fossil site but am unsure. Any help is appreciated! Whale ear bone (?) - L: 8 cm W: 5 cm H: 2.5 cm
