Hi there, a girlfriend of mine has recently brought a property in Peachester, Queensland. This property was previously owned by a geologist, as well as a archaeologist, (... something along those lines ) who had a couple truck loads of "rocks " dumped at the property, for whatever reason. They've since run out of money so they sold up and hit the road.... my friend and I are discovering some amazing things but we have no idea what most of them are - please help... this is just taste of what's there...

Could anyone help with identification of this fossilized fish head section which looks like the upper palate & eye sockets. Found QLD Australia Jan 2024. Some type of gills seem to still be present. Thanks for any information 😄🙏 Kate

Dear Community, I need big help for small tooth that i found in North-east Queensland, Australia. I suspect it to be a shark tooth, but a missing root makes the search much harder.. I'll be using metric sizes, or specifically mm= millimeter Here the hard facts I can give: -ca 6mm long and 4,5mm wide -triangular shape, no serrations -no cusplets (maybe broken off?) Ps: sorry if I am spamming pictures, wasn't sure what lighting would be best... Thanks in advance for all the knowledge sharers and gatherers out there!

Hi, I would really appreciate an ID on these crustaceans found 2019 at Miami, Mermaid And Nobby beaches on the Gold Coast, Australia. I've done some basic research and came up with Pliocene era. Thankyou so much!

Hey everyone! been away for a while while i moved from Sydney to QLD! I was fishing waist deep on a beach the other day and this slid past my foot! How awesome is that! I almost wet met myself further with excitment! This is the first shark tooth fossil ive ever found! I Googled the type of fossil and the location and absolutely no results.. Do you get random wash-ups on sandy beaches? or is it likely there will be more somewhere being exposed by the tides? Here's a shot of the front and back! No idea what species South east QLD - Australia Height: 4.0cm ( 1.57in ) Width at base: 2.7cm ( 1.06in ) Shark tooth Fossil by Jace Austin, on Flickr
