I took a trip to nsr after some decent rain in the middle of January. Here in Texas the weather can be hot, cold, or anything in between and it turned out it was a nice day in the 60s. I found a decent mosasaur vert, some decent ammonites, and a few other items. Let me know what you think. Pictures 4 and 5 where of a huge ammonite. You can tell by the rock pick it was over a foot wide and the picture doesn't show but the outer shell that was deteriorating was iridescent and really pretty. I don't think I have seen an ammonite with actual shell still intact however everything else

On Sunday I took a trip to the Natural History Museum in London. I queued up before it opened at 10am and even before then there was a long queue. I have not visited this museum since I was a child and spent an entire day there (10am to 4.30pm - a long time). I was surprised as it is a lot bigger than I remembered and there was so much to see. This place has the most wonderful things and is an incredible place to learn. The museum showcases a Baryonyx, Sophie the Stegosaurus (the world's most complete Stegosaurus) and more! North Sulphur River, Texas, Red-type fossils, Ladonia Fossil Park

Hello, I am new to this site so I apologize in advance if I post incorrectly. I went to Ladonia, Texas, to the fossil park and found a lot of "red" type rocks or fossils. I need help identifying what they are and basically if they are even fossils. I have a lot of them, so to keep this simple, I will just post photos of all the same item, but in various angles. Fossil hunting in the NSR with my hubby on Nov. 2, I was not having much luck until I stumbled across this beautiful red echinoid. I have never found an echinoid in the NSR, but really was anxious to find one. I love that it was red too! My favorite find there so far. Anyone know any more about these? Kimmersaurus Tex
