Possible rib fragment of Einiosaurus?

Good evening, I have the possibility to buy these fragments of a rib of Einiosaurus. Because I am not yet that familiar with dinosaur bones: -are they really rib fragments? -is it possible to attribute these to Einiosaurus? They are said to be from the Two Medicine Formation, Montana.

Digging through some bags of bones, looking for something to work on during the virus crisis. Glued the pieces I and collected and this is what I have. I believe this was collected in Wyoming, near Newcastle. What is it? I think it is Theropod, possibly a partial pubis bone. 10.5inches long, 1.5 inch flat bottom, approx 1 inch depth large marrow pores.

I bought a small fossil collection that contained several Erismatopterus levatus and it also contained several unidentifiable and unlabeled items, in particular this piece. It reminds me almost of a placoderm skull plate, but I honestly don't have any idea. There's area of denticles on the side of the fossil.

Hi all, I acquired a partial Spinosauridae caudal spine recently from the Kem Kem Beds. However, I was told that this is a dinosauria indet. rib. The digger who provided me the fossil is experienced and trustworthy. Still, I would like to hear your thoughts on this fossil. Thank you. EDIT: Two others suggested that this is part of a scapula

Just got some small rib sections and another bone, the ribs don't look like crocodile, I know it can be difficult to give an I'd on parts of bone but was wondering if it could be mosasaur or maybe land based? Bones are from the Kem Kem beds

Hello all this is my first post. I recently came into possession of what I believe to be a Allosaurus rib fossil. Unfortunately the specimen snapped in a few places during transit. This dose however give me the opportunity to post pictures of the broken sections. Not exactly what I was expecting to see, but then again this is my first large fossil so I don't really know what I was expecting to see. some information I was provided from the previous owner: '"last 6 inches of the distal end, is restorated. The rest of the rib was found largely intact. Found on private land in the Morrison Formation" Any information that can be provided to me would be a great help. Debbie

Hoping to get some good input on these. I found several of these rib bones together in densely packed sand/Ash material. I’ve never seen this type of consistency in any other type of fossil. It’s almost like they turned into Sandstone material. Any idea what causes this or what type of animal they are from?

Hey guys, new member here. So around eight to nine years ago, I was walking the sand bars of the Mississippi River alongside Randolph Co., Illinois and I happened to find this fossil bone. I was wondering if we could figure out what it belonged to and how old it is. I think it’s a piece of rib? Thanks guys.

I wasnt very active recently so sorry for that. But the last weeks I was several times hunting for fossils in the quarry Kromer in Holzmaden (Germany) and in this thread I want to show you some things I found there. As some of you know may know I am mainly interested in marine reptile fossils so most of the finds are marine reptile bones and teeth ... So firstly some teeth. I actually found a lot of them but these are the best ones I found this year: A 2 cm long Steneosaurus tooth (crocodile): Another Steneosaur tooth with a length of 1,8 cm: And the last 1.2 Steneosaur tooth: I also found some Ichthyosaur teeth. Here is one of the nicest from this year: Besides of several teeth I also found some bones. Ichthyosaur bones are the most common type of bones there so I found mainly Ichthyosaur material. Especially I found many ribs but they are mostly not prepped yet. Here is just one little example: Its about 10 cm long. I didnt found many vertebrae this year but here is a pretty neat one with a length of about 3.5 cm: A bit rarer is this little Steneosaur (crocodile) vert: I am really happy that I can say that I found some pterosaur material this year. As these are marine deposits you may can imagine that pterosaur bones and teeth are very very rare. Here is a little 6 cm long and very worn pterosaur bone: Another pterosaur bone: This one is about 11 cm long. I didnt saw that one in the quarry Kromer but I took the stone with me because of a tooth on the other side of the stone so I was very pleased as I turned the stone around at home The next one is probably my favourite find of the year until now: These are also pterosaur bones (the big one might be a humerus?) Some more pictures of the same piece: And last but not least this find: I am actually not sure what it is. Might be pterosaur bone too ( maybe a Scapula?) or another possibility would be a bone from the skull but its kinda difficult to determine isolated bones ... Still many bones and teeth to prep and the year is still young so lets see what I can find/reveal! I hope you like some of my finds and thanks for watching

A tiny 10 cm long Ichthyosaur rib from the lower Jurassic of the quarry Kromer near Holzmaden. At first you could only see the cross section. The prep work took about 2 hours (I was slow ) One more picture: -
Another find from last week in an area where I found a lot of Dugong fragments. This one I was at a loss on. Thinner than anything I have found of similar length.

Hi. I wanted help identifying a large bone fossil found in Florida. I believe it to be a rib bone; and one person indicated either Whale, Mastodon, or Mammoth. My son and I found it on the Peace River by the edge of the water in between about Brownville and Arcadia (closer to Arcadia). One photo shows an additional section; and with that section is about 19". It is broken on each end so would be much bigger. Color is closer to the image with the shark teeth; the other photos were taken during sunset so appear redder in color than it should be. I can provide other pictures. Please advise if you have insight on how to narrow what this is. Thank you Ken

Hi everyone, Im looking at a bunch of stuff that someone got from the big fossil expo this month, but I want to be sure of what is what before I do anything. There's a few things way beyond what I could potentially get, but I'm just curious about in general. These are all Moroccan, and most, if not all, are Kem Kem. are these first 4 pics spinosaur? With the teeth I know the 2 on the top&left are probably carchar teeth, but I'm wondering about the other 2. In the 2nd picture, I'm guessing the right one is a spinosaur vert, right? What about the other one? I'm sure it would probably be very hard to tell with just a single rib, but could the rib be spinosaurus? It seems to match some museum spino skeleton ribs, but that's the best I can figure out:/

Found an interesting rib-like object in the Calvert Cliffs area. It appears to have bone-like textures but I want to be sure. Is this a fossil rib fragment? If so, I'm assuming a species ID would be impossible from such a small fragment, but any ideas?

A kinda interesting combination out of an ammonite, a belemnite and a partial Ichtyosaur rib. It wasn't very difficult to prep but all in all it took about 3 hours. The belemnite is about 10 cm long and the partial rib is about 11 cm long. I found this one last year in the quarry Kromer near Holzmaden. Some more pictures: And the unprepped rib: -
Hello, A while ago I got some unprepped bones from the hell creek formation, South Dakota. This rib was in multiple pieces, but I wanted to give it a try. Could someone ID this please? Thank you Natalie
