Hi, I came across this rock on the beach in Eastern Canada. I was wondering if anyone else finds it interesting. The marks on it resemble bite marks and I cannot let it go until someone helps me figure out what it is. Thanks! It's approximately 12 cm long.

I found this in Mokelumne River in California. I’m not sure whether it is fossilized wood or just a river-worn rock? I was hoping someone could tell me which one it is and maybe let me know what parts of it are key to identifying whether it’s fossilized wood or a rock, so I can learn how to identify further specimens.

So.... It's a rock from an abandoned house rock garden. I'm guessing a vacation find because we don't have these around here. It looks like a claw because the base is flat or straight across. About 3 1/2 cm. I can't offer much info on origin.

Hi my granddaughter and I found this along the creek bed in house springs, mo. I think that it is a bone of some sort and there are shinies in all the dark spots. Especially the top where the hole is. The hole is very porius I'm assuming because of the marrow. So I'm assuming it's old but just an amateur hunter here and never found any type of bone before I have more photos but these give the best description. 1st photo is standing up. The rings shine. 2 photo is of the side. Dark spots glitter. 3 is on the side but slightly turned. 4th is the bottom. 5 is front facing again bottom brown ring glitters. 6th Ariel view not very good.. 7th is of the dimensions of the hole. The whole piece is about 1 1/2" wide by 2" long. The hole is about 1" wide by 3/4" deep. Like I said the rings and dark spots are shiny like it has quartz in it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I would like to know if it is for sure a bone, what kind of bone it is, and also If you know what animal it could be from, if it is a bone. Thanks everyone!!!!

Found this rock (upstate NY, Tompkins county). Main rock seems to be shale, but what are the black inclusions in it? The rock on the last picture is different. Is that print from an organism, or just a rock structure? Thanks!

Found this while I was fishing. Can't tell if it's an ammonite or a rock. It does have that spiral pattern very slightly. Plus, when I turn it on its side, it looks like there's some indication of a small chamber. What's your input? Ammonite or rock?

Found a bunch of specimens from Oak Creek in Sherman TX. Is the first and fourth picture fossilized wood ? The second picture is very light and porous.

Just some of my concretion landscaping. They were all found in Middle Tennessee. I’m curious what other kinds of fossils may occur in them besides gastropods? I have found several that nature cracked open containing Gastropoda.

Amateur here; turned over a rock in our landscape for 20+ years, to find this. Obtained at Duff’s Quarry in Huntsville Ohio. What kind of seashell is this - strange circular arc on hinge side?
