    Holden Beach Artifact ID?

Found on Holden Beach, North Carolina along the shoreline. The beach is currently being dredged and renourished from a couple miles off the coast and it’s possible this item came through the dredges. Has a strange webbing like pattern throughout which is why I kept it. Appears to be pourous and has weight but is not super heavy for its size. Is this just a rock or something else?

    Petrified finger?

Hey all. I recently came back from visiting my mamaw in corbin ky. I stopped at a vendors market and bought a random bag marked jewelry Making. This was random junk thrown in a ziplock. This booth was very vintage and antique with a lot of random and strange things. Sooo question is what in the world is this. Not sure if my mind is messing with me but I can't seem to hold it without feeling weird haha. So feels petrified or rock like but shapped like my stubby finger... I don't know much about this stuff so I figured I would find a forum to tell me if it's rock, finger, or even animal drops

    Odd rock or?

Evening (morning) everyone! New member here, so be gentle... i have no previous experience or knowledge of fossils but i was out walking the dog the other day and found this strange looking piece of stone or rock but it appears to be made up of two different materials and almost looks as if it has veins or arteries inside... Just looked a little odd, compared to every other stone. Any suggestions on what it could have been? Or is it just some rock... It was found very close to the River Dove in the Midlands (UK). N.B... It's around 2" in length and perhaps about an inch in diameter but my measurements could be off! Many thanks Chris.

    Possible Fossil

I was rocking hunting with my husband a few years back and found this in a field in southern Indiana. We are trying to figure out what it is as neither of us has ever seen anything like it before.

    Is this stromatolite?

Hi! Is this a stromatolite? I picked up this rock on the premises of the Teleajen oil refinery in Prahova county, Romania. I have seen a chert wedge in a limestone boulder once upon a time, but this stone is different. It has layers of chert and carbonate, right? I grinded and polished the stone. Here is a close-up from the carbonatic area (fizzles with acid): Any idea how old are these rocks when found in S-E Europe? Thanks!
  19. Myrtle Beach, 2022 Looks interesting but no idea what it could possibly be. Thanks!

    Fossiliferous Rock

Can anyone identify any of the fossils in this rock? We found it on the beach of Lake Michigan in Benton Harbor, Michigan, USA. Unfortunately, we didn't have any kind of ruler or other measuring device.

    Indian artifact or fossilized bone

Looks like bone ...I don't have a clue found My Fork River in OK.
  22. I found this five foot under water in Mt Fork River in Oklahoma... approx mile from where the dinosaur skeleton on display in red river museum was found. It's extremely heavy much heavier than petrified wood and when I carried it to museum she said it glowed pink, blue, and green florescence and that it needed to be checked out. She also said it has silver pyrite bursts in some of the round indentations and she hadn't seen anything like it. It's not magnetic at all and has some type of vein thru the center of it's entire length. It has a very unique pattern and I can't find anything exactly like it online. When I first saw it under water it looked almost like a gemstone, dark green in color. And yes it came out of the water shiny like this. It's 7" long and 2 1/2" wide.

  24. Hippiehabitat

Found in the cliff wall of lower Mt Fork River Oklahoma. It's approx 10" x 1 1/2" in size
