Good evening, First of all, I apologise that there’s no ruler in this particular photo. My phone battery died as I was taking the photos and then it got dark, so I couldn’t get a good photo. I can update tomorrow if there’s anything here. I went to the Herkimer mine in NY this week and I found this rock. It interested me because of the lines and I didn’t see anything else like it in the 5 hours (!!) we were mining. Do you have any idea what the lines are, please? Thank you. L.

I found this in a creek in middle Tennessee. Is this part of a bone or is it chert? Or maybe it's something else completely. i see a circle on the inside of the tubular shape. there is also a less worn area that makes me think it is fossilized bone. I'm posting pictures with and without a louper. We have ordovician fossils as well as some ice age mammals. One dinosaur was found here, the hadrosaur. Birds, crocodiles, trees, i don't know about whales.

Hello all. I have a few fossils/rocks I bought from local stores/shows a few years ago. Sadly the labels to them were mostly all lost somewhere along the way, so I have no idea what they are or where they came from. With no information I don't expect to find out exactly what they are but I'm hoping to at least get a general idea. Attached are the images to the most confusing one, which was bought by my mother, so I don't have any recollection of what it could be (ruler is in inches). Thanks in advance for all your help.

I found both these while digging at work and was wondering if they were some kind of fossil? 65276861035__1A586962-63E7-4FAA-BC95-9F45D54C3B79.MOV 65276856659__F9496067-45FD-469A-A586-BBA4DDA52101.MOV 65276856659__F9496067-45FD-469A-A586-BBA4DDA52101.MOV

Hello everyone! My little brother made this nice find near Thrupp Lake in Abingdon, Oxfordshire, UK. The lake is close to the Thames river. It looks like some sort of shell fossil? The rock is about 8cm wide and 5cm tall. We'd appreciate any help identifying it! Thank you.

I found this rock on the edge of the hill in my backyard in Helotes, Tx. The previous heavy rains have exposed a lot on my hillside. I am in sure what the wood looking pieces are in pictures 3&4. If anyone is familiar, that would be great.

This was found in south Alabama. I frequently find petrified wood here but is this really a pine cone? There's a stem on top and you can see a center on the broken end. If so I’d be curious to know about how old it is. If not it’s a pretty cool rock.
