We have had a lot of flooding this May/early June in NE Oklahoma. Lakes up north(Keystone Lake for example) have been releasing water at high fps which has kept the Arkansas River running high and fast for several weeks. The last two days the river was lower as we have had a break from heavy rains for several days and I was able to finally explore the new river edges (lots of new sand dunes) and some sand bars. I have two items that are probably just rocks but would appreciate any help in identifying them. I read up on a post of the geological periods of the Arkansas River near Tulsa from a post in the forum by Petro Pete. Here is the link but it seems its quite a mix. http://www.thefossilforum.com/index.php?/topic/36993-fossil-hunting-guide-to-tulsa-ok-and-surrounding-areas/ The first object looks to me like fossilized bone surrounding something in the center The second object just has a peculiar shape but might just be a piece of iron mineral

This is something I found most recently, at a sandbar in a coastal South Carolina creek. I don't have the slightest idea what it could be. My 7 year old is convinced that it is a fossil of an ancient loggerhead sea turtle lol. I think that its probably a piece of I don't know but its interesting enough for me to stick in my pocket to bring home lol any help is greatly appreciated

Hi guys, I found these earlier today on a creek bed in NE Kansas. I think it's a somewhat old bison upper jaw ( part of it broke)...but it could be an old cow as well. There was also another interesting thing I found, in not sure what it is. I'll try upload more pics later.

So I was on a sandbar on the republican river today and found these, along with several others. I think they may be bison bones, possibly ice age, (this is in NE Kansas) but could you guys help out? Thanks. I will upload more pictures soon. PS each piece is about 3 inches on the long lost side and around 1 inch wide (the first one is about 3/4 inches thick), and I haven't cleaned them yet

I was walking a Northeast Kansas sandbar today and found these with several other pieces. I think these might be from the ice age or more rencent, perhaps part of an old bison skeleton. I could use some help here, I'll upload more pictures. The specimen is about 3 inches long, 1 inch tall and 1 inch thick.
