Are there any Santa Margarita fm fossil sites that are still open/able to be collected from in and around the SF Bay Area? I want to try and hunt from the formation but all the classic sites, like bean creek, are now closed for collecting.

These are some teeth collected off Highway 58 near the town of Santa Margarita. They are late Miocene in age from the Santa Margarita formation. Most are fairly beat up and not easy to find at the site. Lucky to get one in a day of looking. I think they are a Mako species but not sure which one. What do you guys think they are?

I found some items of interest on a recent hike to pick up trash near Scotts Valley, CA. From what I have read this is likely from the Santa Margarita formation. I'm only good enough to tell that these are unusual. Any ideas welcome. I'll attach the pics from the big piece here and save the others for another post. Thanks in advance.

A few more things that I found while hiking in Scotts Valley. Likely from the Santa Margarita sandstone. Any help with ID would be appreciated.
