Been at it for about a year now and I try to hit the creeks at least twice/month if I can help it. The "loose" pics are either newer finds that haven't made their way into the display yet, or finds that have their own display. Most of these were rescued from the Gainesville area. Some are from the Peace River & Joshua Creek, as well as Manasota, Caspersen, Venice & Fort Clinch beaches. I was also lucky enough to discover a previously unknown spot VERY close to home, while scouting one day! Dr. Hulbert (w/ UF) confirmed it is a new spot, but was reluctant to check it out as none of my initial finds were extinct species... I have since found horse teeth at that location and can't wait for water levels to go back down!!! Hoping to add a few new species to my collection on my upcoming trip to GMR & one of the Summerville creeks (not sure which one yet but would love to find my first Angi & GW)... the GW in my pics was actually found by my Grandfather in Panama in the 70s! Thanks for looking : )

Sawshark concretion with rostrum and teeth (New Zealand)

Hi All I recently hiked to a remote area and only found one fossil, but it's a doozy! I've been wanting to find a shark tooth concretion since I heard about them so I was pretty happy when I found this concretion with what looked like a row of teeth and some cartilage in it. I don't think it's common for cartilage to fossilize this well so maybe the rostrum was really dense? I'd love to know what some of the shark tooth experts think about this one! I've started prepping it and there are numerous teeth still inside the concretion. I had to stop with the air scribe and move to acetic and B72 as they are all over the place and I don't want to risk damaging any. It's potentially an Ikamauius ensifer species, but that is still tentative. Of course I got it on video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dRXl8mGEIIM

Hello, Trying to identify this fossil found in Portugal, Arrábida region. Could it be from a sawfish (Pristidae)? Thanks for the help.

I needed something to satisfy my itch since I still cannot get out. So i had purchased a box of matrix from Lee Creek. I spent the weekend seperating the matrix into 4 different sizes. I was excited to try my smaller double decker sifter and it worked perfect. I also used that over a window screen. I found a ton of new items that I do not have in my collection. Including my first croc tooth. It is super tiny but it is my first. These are my finds after my first run through. I think I am going to have to get some type of magnifying glass for the smaller stuff. Any feedback on incorrect ID's is much appreciated. Enjoy the pics.
