Went out with the Natural History Society of Maryland fossil club to stratford hall 7/17/22. Perfect weather to walk along the beach and in the water. Came back with the standard things and a couple I am much less sure about. The first is a piece of rather flat bone, I hope it is a scapula, but if so whose? Next is a piece-- maybe it is a ray dermal scute; but the underside does not look like bone but I am not sure what it should look like. The last is a really shiny 1 cm bit that I think should be a drum fish tooth. Help, information and opinions will be well appreciated.

I found this large, flat bone fragment in a southeast Texas gravel bar. Not sure if there's enough detail here to make a solid ID, especially on the articular process. I tried comparing it to other large mammal flat bones like ribs and scapulas, but couldn't figure it out. Hoping someone with more experience can help ID it. Thanks for any help!

So my husband found this heavily mineralized bone while we were hunting in southeast Texas with @Lorne Ledger. Mostly Pleistocene age material in the area. It was too dirty to identify then. I've cleaned it up, and I've been struggling to ID it. It has a large, thick base but dramatically thins toward the outside (similar to how a scapula would, but I'm not sure it's the right shape for one.) So far my best guess has been a partial ilium to a large quadraped since there aren't many bones that flatten out like a fan in that way. I've included a picture of a wooly rhino ilium off a sales site first, not to argue it as a possibility, but as an example of the general similarities to a large ilium that I noticed in shape. @JohnJ @Lorne Ledger @garyc@darrow@Shellseeker@Harry Pristis @digit Any help would be fantastic. Another bone I found in the Peace River, Fl yesterday. I appears to me to be a scapula /shoulder bone. I have looked at many so far and while I think the ones I have seen support my hypothesis I can’t find a good clear match. The specimen measures 97 mm long by 80 mm wide tapering to 18 mm. It is 23 mm thick tapering to 4 mm. Any input would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

My last post was identified as a rock. This is one of many pieces that were purchased in a storage locker 15 years ago. I have no idea of location collected. The storage locker was in San Diego, Ca. Any help in identification would be greatly appreciated. The matrix is a mixture of sandstone and red clay.
