The seller purchased this at a flea market and I couldn't pass it up because it's odd...… I have no information on it, but hope it's easily identifiable to someone.

This rock has been in my garden for as long as I've renter my place in San Diego Ca. I just noticed these indented areas today and am curious if this could be a fossil. There is a small sea shell in the other side of the rock so I'm guessing it came from the ocean. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.

A friend had given me a pack of small fossils from Morocco as a gift. And while other shells were clearly just snails. This one not only is larger despite not being complete but to be honest. Just doesn’t look like it could be a snail, or at least the same species. If you can figure out what it is, much thanks.

The only possible thing I can think of is that it could possibly be a day tooth. I’m sure it’s wrong so if anyone has any better ideas, go ahead and tell.

Another fossil from my collection. This fossil I don’t really know exactly what it is but my guess is a sea urchin spine. What’s yours?

I found this last week beachcombing on Sand Key in Clearwater Florida. Just curious...At first I thought it was just a sea rock with worn holes. But then I noticed the tapered shape and the graduated concave grooves and center hole. Thinking maybe it is the mold of the inside of a seashell? Normally I don't find fossils there but sea was rough and I did find a piece of a fossil dugong bone the same day, which I normally never find there. It measures about 1.25" by 1.25" by 1 1/8". Darker color in grooves and center hole with some charcoal and golden brown hues. Any ideas what this could be?

I have found sea shell fossils in San Antonio since I was a teen. All of those have been found on the far Northwest side of town. I found this while taking a walk near Memorial High School. The pattern caught my eye and I dug it from the ground. It reminds me of an oyster shell, but wasn't certain. Does anyone know if shellfish are commonly found in the Culebra/36th Street area? And what is this shell and about how old would it be?
