Greetings All, Need some help identifying this fossil. I live in Pompano Beach, Florida. I found it perfectly perched between the roots of a tree, pushed up from underground. Dimensions: weight 71 grams LxWxH 50mm x 37mm x 34mm Thanks!

    Is this a fossil?

This rock has been in my garden for as long as I've renter my place in San Diego Ca. I just noticed these indented areas today and am curious if this could be a fossil. There is a small sea shell in the other side of the rock so I'm guessing it came from the ocean. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.

    ID needed for shelled organism

A friend had given me a pack of small fossils from Morocco as a gift. And while other shells were clearly just snails. This one not only is larger despite not being complete but to be honest. Just doesn’t look like it could be a snail, or at least the same species. If you can figure out what it is, much thanks.
  6. The only possible thing I can think of is that it could possibly be a day tooth. I’m sure it’s wrong so if anyone has any better ideas, go ahead and tell.

ID required (Possible Sea Urchin Spine)

Another fossil from my collection. This fossil I don’t really know exactly what it is but my guess is a sea urchin spine. What’s yours?

Is this inside of seashell fossil?

I found this last week beachcombing on Sand Key in Clearwater Florida. Just curious...At first I thought it was just a sea rock with worn holes. But then I noticed the tapered shape and the graduated concave grooves and center hole. Thinking maybe it is the mold of the inside of a seashell? Normally I don't find fossils there but sea was rough and I did find a piece of a fossil dugong bone the same day, which I normally never find there. It measures about 1.25" by 1.25" by 1 1/8". Darker color in grooves and center hole with some charcoal and golden brown hues. Any ideas what this could be?

    San Antonio Oyster?

I have found sea shell fossils in San Antonio since I was a teen. All of those have been found on the far Northwest side of town. I found this while taking a walk near Memorial High School. The pattern caught my eye and I dug it from the ground. It reminds me of an oyster shell, but wasn't certain. Does anyone know if shellfish are commonly found in the Culebra/36th Street area? And what is this shell and about how old would it be?
