I found this shell at half moon bay in Northern California, It washed up on shore. Im pretty sure it’s a fossil - I’m wondering what type of shell it is, and possibly how old it could be? Any help would be much appreciated! Approx dimensions: L3” x W2.5” x H1.5”

Recently found this awesome shell in Florida tampa bay area. Covered in muck and clay and sand. Anyone know exactly what it was?

I can't remember where I found these. But they remind me of a sea creature of some kind, like a barnacle or snail that crawls on rocks. However, a cursory google search brought no joy. Any ideas? Most of my finds are Idaho, Colorado and Wyoming.

very little ( 1-2 mm in diameter) sea shells found in Burmese amber (presumably Cretacious period). What could it be?

Hi all, Anyone know what species/genus this gastropod is? It's from Rivière-sur-Tarn, a location in France that yields fossils from the Toarcian stage of the early Jurassic (approx 180 mya). Best regards, Max

I'm not 100% sure on this one and would appreciate idea as to what the outer matrix of this unusual find is and it's contents. Could it be calcite that has filled the shell and turned into aragonite, very pretty, wondering how old this could be. Thank you in advance Found it in the soil where thousands of years ago lay a lake.

I found this in Northwest Georgia on a farm. It appears to be a large smooth snail shell with the snail protruding out, Its very cool I just dont know that much about it. The rock itself appears to be made up of layers and is very heavy, maybe from the cretaceous period which would make it 100 million years old at least, It was under the ground maybe two feet. Id say it ways about 12 pounds, If yall could tell me more about it I would appreciate it. PM me or email me at leviself <AT> att.net
