    Mini-meg, or something else?

Found this nice little tooth on Chippokes plantation down in southern VA. It’s just over 1 1/4 inches. It looks meg-ish, but it just seems a bit off. Any ideas?

What shark is this tooth from?

Hi! I’m not very familiar with shark teeth and never found one until this week, but apparently this one is a great find. What shark is this tooth from and how do I preserve it?

Purse state weird bone fossil id

here are some stuff that I found in the aquia formation over the weekend. this button is weird to me, my gut tells me it might be a vert, but it could also be a fish tooth perhaps? this is a weird one, it looks like a Galeocerdo tiger shark, but i havent read anything of these existing at the Aquia formation, much less finding them at purse. bone fragments? would it be possible to tell if its reptile bone? this bone is interesting because it has some underside of its surface still intact. it almost reminds me of a skull fragment maybe? lastly, a nice lady gave me this piece, whats funny is that she found it two minutes after I told her I was looking for crocodile teeth.

    Cretaceous Shark Tooth?

Anybody can identify this Tooth? Found in cretaceous, turonian sandy-limestone in Poland (Tyniec, Cracow). I think it's a Shark Tooth, or other fish but I don't know which exactly.

    Shark Teeth Mystery

My best guess is the black shark tooth is a sand shark and maybe the grey is a great white . . . have no idea what the gold sample is! Any thoughts?
  6. Hello everybody, can you help me with these? #T1: Carcharias sp (?) or Striatolamia Macrota (?) #T2: Otodus Catticus (???) or maybe, Brachycarcharias Lerichei or Hypotodus verticalis (upper lateral) [On the box was written Otodus Catticus, but I don't know if it belongs to Balegem as specie...] #T3: Brachycarcharias Lerichei or Striatolamia Macrota (?) #T4: ??? I don't have any idea... Thanks in advance:) Gian

    What type of Shark Tooth?

Here is a shark tooth I believe I found in peace river (fl) although I don’t really remember. It is about a .8 inch tooth. The reason I’m not sure the type of shark this is is because of its thickness. It reminds me of a bull shark but has an odd shape and is thicker than most teeth I find. Anyone know if this is a bull shark or something else?

    Fossil ID Matoaka trip 2

Hi Again! for Easter this year I decided to go to the Calvert cliffs for some Easter egg fossil hunting. it was a lovely day out got to talk with some nice folks. I wanted to share some of my finds and my IDs of them to check if I got them right before I put labels on them in my collection. 1) Stingray teeth, most likely eagle ray, although the grayish one looks to me like a duck billed ray. 2) Mako Shark Isurus hastalis upper 3) Hemipristis Serra upper 4) Extinct tiger shark Physogaleus contortus 5) Extinct tiger shark Galeocerdo (I think the one below is a lower) 6) Crab claws ( is there any resources on specific crabs, some of these don't look like they belong to the same species) 7) Turritella plebia 8) Scallop shell (Chesapectean?) 9) Fish jawbone fragment (looks like sockets on the top) 10) Bone shard (there seems to be two divets below)

    Megalodon Tooth?

Can anyone help us identify this tooth that we found near Bakersfield? We are hoping it's a baby megalodon tooth. Our other thought is that it might be a snaggletooth shark. Thanks for your help.

    Hemipristis or Prionace tooth?

Hello, I saw this tooth for sale on the Internet. Unfortunately the photo was very bad, so I tried to creat a vector graphic. I'm not sure if the tooth belongs to a hemipristis or a blue shark. Can you help me with this? The tooth measures a little over 1cm to the tip and was found in Indonesia (Pacific ocean). Best regards from Germany!
