  1. I have hunted the Shark River, NJ quite a few times and never really found the best quality of teeth or fossils. Very hard terrain to search...Yesterday we went out for 3 hours and had the best trip yet. We were surface scanning only, no sifting.. A few nice size SandTiger Teeth plus a few others not pictured

    Is shark river open?

Hi all, awhile ago I saw shark river had a sewer leaking into the stream and I was wondering if anyone has been there lately or could tell me if it’s open, there hasn’t been anything in the news about it since September and I’ve wanted to go there for a long time. TIA.

    Fossil shark tooth i.d.?

Can anyone help i.d. this shark tooth? I found it, along with 5 others in the Shark River of new Jersey 20 years ago. The other 5 were lost over time, so this is the only one I have left. Hope to make a trip again their someday.... Thanks all! Bone

    Fossil ID 3 (Shark Tooth)

I went to shark river in NJ and found this in the middle of the creak with my sifter. It was 6-10 inches under dirt and rocks. Why is it still white? I was a little surprised. Would love some feedback on this. Thank you in advance for any comments. Mark

    Shark River Location

I was looking into going to Shark River NJ and I was wondering at which part of Shark River cuts through formation as it is pretty long. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!
