Hey all, I do a lot of shark tooth hunting around Charleston, SC and am in need of new boots. I am not in creeks or anything. It is usually on islands (Drum Island, Morris Island, Cat Island for those that know the area) and a couple other land spots that can get very muddy. I have been wearing these Sperry boots but am curious if there is something out there that would be better. Primarily just looking for a pair that will keep my feet warm and dry and are easy to spray down afterward. I have been looking at some fishing boots like the ones below, but I feel

Yesterday (January 2nd) was only my second trip to Calvert Cliffs. I'm pretty new to fossil collecting, but thanks to the wonderful advice and reading the greatly informative posts from members such as @Darktooth @FossilsAnonymous @WhodamanHD @racerzeke @KimTexan and @paxhunter I had a lot of success and it was a much more productive trip than my first. Below is a brief summary and some pictures of what I found: I woke up, put on a few layers clothing, and had my coffee at 3:45am. After my morning pipe (tobacco...I actually make briar tobacco pipes as a hobby) I got in my pre-loade

@Cris and I set out again to some trusty shark tooth hunting sites! For some reason, we both weren't very confident about the potential finds when we left for the site. Gladly, we were proven wrong, and the Fossil Gods blessed us with some grear fossils! But hey, all fossils are great no matter what, right?

Hi everyone! I'm fairly new to Beaufort, SC. Recently moved up from FL where I hunted Peace River a lot. I'm hoping to connect with other fossil hunters in the area and maybe gain some local knowledge. I've watched a ton of videos of nice megalodon teeth being found in Summerville/Charleston area land sites, creeks, ditches. What I'm looking for is the possibility of similar sites here in Beaufort County but I don't know enough about local formations to draw any conclusions. I'm not a diver yet so my main focus is on land at the moment. I've hunted the sands at Port Royal with minimal success
