Hi. Along with most of the fossils in my collection, this tooth was also found on the beach on the north end of Amelia Island, Florida. I am not having any luck in identifying the shark.

Does anyone have a legit guide for sharks teeth they would like to share? I have thousands and want to organize the mint ones. I've searched online for guides, but there are way too many that are incorrect. I'm spent on searching and would just like something 100% I live in Venice Florida if that helps. Thank you Brandon

Hello everyone, I'm a little out of my element, here. I found a tooth the other day, while rockhounding the Quaternary alluvial deposits of the North shore of Grays Harbor. The tooth is a little tumble worn. I believe it may have had serrations on the edges, but those have since worn off, leaving a worn edge. My guess is Great White, but that is a guess based on the fact I found it in Quaternary sediments. Uneducated otherwise, and maybe some hopeful thinking mixed in. Your thoughts would be appreciated. I understand that sharks

I picked up this tooth yesterday on the Potomac (mostly Miocene deposits) - I can’t place it... it does have some damage to the root. I at first thought Tiger, but the little serrations are on the wrong side of the curve... Any ideas? Thanks!

I apologize for the picture...I don’t have the tooth with me to take a better one. Just curious if anyone knows what kind of shark the larger tooth belonged to? It’s 1 and 1/2 inches tall and was found on the beach at Calvert Cliffs, Maryland. It’s the only one i’ve found where the base of the tooth is as wide as the top so i’m curious what kind it is. The edges are smooth.

This is the second large shark's tooth. It was found by my father who lived in Sarasota Florida. No more information on where he found it. Was given to me upon his passing. The measurements are: 1 ½ inch (3.81 cm) wide, 2 ¼ inch (5.715 cm) long, ¼ inch (.635 cm) height. Here are some pictures as best as I could take them.

This is the first of 2 posts for 2 large shark's teeth. This one was found by myself on a shell driveway in Sarasota, Florida. Really. The dimensions are: 1 ¾ inch (4.445 cm) wide, 2 ½ inch (6.35 cm) long, height is ¾ inches (1.905 cm), tip curves up approx. ¼ inches (.635 cm), the width (from top to bottom) of the inside triangle shape is 5/16 inch (0.79375 cm). Here are some pictures as best as I can take them. Can you help me ID this tooth?

Hi everyone, I found this tooth yesterday at the beach in Wilmington, NC. I initially thought it was broken, but then saw that it was actually very warped with all of the serration remaining. After some googling I've found that they are known as pathologic teeth. If anyone has any information about pathologic teeth I would be super interested to learn more! Also would be interested to hear opinions on ID. Angy?
