I recently spotted a Palaeophis vertebra for sale, labelled as having come from a Palaeophis typhaeus. The vertebra was found in the Ouled Abdoun basin in Morocco and is Ypresian in age. I have only every seen Palaeophis maghrebianus vertebrae for sale, so I was wondering if this was a mistaken ID. Thanks in advance for confirmation Othniel

I’m going through my collection of unknowns, and came across this little guy. It is a small, ornate vertebra collected from the Pliocene Yorktown Formation at the Lee Creek Mine in North Carolina,, USA. Scale in the photos for size. Bird? Snake? Other? thanks

Lisa Cormier, a teacher from Prince Edward Island came across a fossil that could be 300 million years old when she was walking on the beach at Cap-Egmont. https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/prince-edward-island/pei-300-million-fossil-found-pei-1.6564455 Parks Canada scientists came to investigate. The fossil has not yet been identified, but it is believed to be likely a reptile.

I have this really interesting piece in my collection. Got it for what seems like a steal. Its a tiny coil of snake vertebrae but the matrix seems to be some sort of crystal. Has anyone seen anything like this? No similar images come up when searching for snake vertebrae.

Hi, after a work related break in Wexford recently I found this item washed up on the beach. After lightly cleaning it and viewing it under a jewellers loupe, I realised that it appeared to have inscriptions on it. I thought I may be just willing oil t to be the case, but upon further investigation they are definitely man made carvings. It seems to be a fish/catfish possibly to the front, and inscriptions of what I can make out to be, a person, stick like figure, fish, a PI symbol as well as others. It is very intriguing and though I'd share in the hope other do too. Thanks.

This fossil was found in Yunnan Province, China, along with Keichousaurus. So it's Triassic. Is it a snake skeleton or the tail of a marine reptile like Xipusaurus?

Today we went to a spot that we don't go often, it started raining about 50 minutes in (we should have checked the weather) but we got quite a few fossils including these unidentified ones (sorry about the picture quality on some of them) the first I believe is a gator tooth with root, the second set, I have no idea about, the 3rd might be dugong, the forth and 5th I think are deer, the sixth I think is tapir, the seventh Is some sort of rodent and the last I believe is a snake vert.
