Today in "Only for coral lovers", an ugly and weird guy (we can't all be beautiful and perfect). Qualified by a specialist as " un coral bien feo ". !!! How the qualification hurt me !!!, it seem precious corals to me. Astreopora gasseri Reig, 1980. Upper Eocene, Priabonian. South Pyrenean basin. Endemic to the basin. (Scale in cmts. One square = 10 mms.)

In early Eocene (Ilerdian, South Pyrenean basin) when there is no hard substrate on which to anchor, the small Rhizangia brauni (Michelin, 1847) look for it. Gastropods are not a bad place. On Turritella. On Tympanotonos. On a fragment of oyster shell. On other corals, Pattalophyllia. Or even on itself.
