First hadrosaur vertebrae, got it for a very good price. Maybe too good. Thoughts?

Hi everyone! Got this at an auction for a really good price (probably because of the missing portion) labeled as hadrosaur. 66-67 million years old. from hell creek formation in South Dakota. length about 3.3 inches, width roughly the same. I guess it seems a bit too good to be true for me as it’s my first vertebrae specimen and it’s also a hadrosaur which I see commonly running for +. Thanks in advance!

I picked this up online awhile back as a Triceratops metatarsal lll. 17 in long.7 in. wide on the proximal end.6 in on distal. Weight is 7 lb, 5 ounces. Found in Hell Creek formation, Meade County, SD. Do you agree or is it possibly a different species?

Name: Discoscaphites conradi Phylum Mollusca; Class Cephalopoda; Subclass Ammonoidea; Order Ammonitida Geological Time: Cretaceous Size: 22 mm (24 mm by 26 mm matrix base) Fossil Site: Fox Hills Formation, South Dakota The high degree of preservation of its natural mother-of-pearl shell makes it appear to be preserved as gemstone. This is a consequence of light passing through the various layers of aragonite and conchiolin deposited by the ammonite in life. Conchiolin is secreted by various other mollusks, including oysters, and is a complex protein. The colors change with changing perspective but the dominate green mixed with pink stand out for this little gem. -

We are a family from Virginia (I'm a highschool science teacher) traveling to Yellowstone, Blackhills and Badlands during July 2017. I would like to arrange a family private dig for July 14th for 8 people -youngest is 14. Does anyone know of how I can research this? I found Paleo adventures but wanted to find more options. Hello fellow TFF Members! I have a massive scale trip planned ahead for a fossil hunting excursion in the Black Hills of South Dakota, and I'd like to start it off professionally compared to my other trips, where cheap and very few tools were used. I was wondering if an expert out there to explain a step by step process on what tools to use for different jobs.
