Good morning all! I've had this potential fossil for a number of years, but am uncertain of it's origin as it was sold to me by a roommate for pizza money. He didn't remember the exact location he found it, but said it was from a beach in the south east. Potentially Alabama, Florida, Georgia or the Carolinas. He gave me a long bone and what appears to be a flat bone chunk that were found in the same area, but that may not be from the same creature. I had these pictures already with a lighter for scale, but can take pictures with a ruler when I get home from work. I've done a lot of googling, but as I'm an amateur I don't know that I can draw any real conclusions. Excited to hear what others think and if it confirms what I suspect!

Hello ya'll, I have with with me what appears to be a tooth of some kind. It is clearly bone, and may have some type of enamel remaining. I think it's an eroded tooth, but I am not sure from what. Any insights or thoughts would be appreciated. I found it in Georgia. Thanks!

I found this rock today in my favorite spot in southeast Missouri. I guess they are Smithville variety. There are several fossils in this rock. That spiral looking one is 4" long!

My friend and I found this by Lake Somerville in SE Texas. My untrained eye thinks it looks like bone, definitely mineralized, but we have petrified wood in this area as well, which I am used to looking like everything under the sun. Bone? Any guesses what from if so? Thanks in advance, Brian

We are heading down to Athens, WV this weekend to visit some friends who just moved there from the midwest. None of the four of us knows the area. Anyone have any suggestions for a reasonably short road trip to do some hunting in their vicinity?

Went for a hike this morning to a river bed, which has been eroding from spring run off. mother nature doing the work for me. Found a number of great coral fossils, couple pieces of small petrified wood and some shell fragment. Almost threw it away but decided to keep it. Ive been out multiple times this late winter and early spring to look but haven't been to successful, just the odd random little piece of fossil but today was a good day in my books.

Has anyone on this forum ever gone to the dam in Andalusia during November? I have the itch but don't want to stand in cold water and don't have any waders.
