  1. what do you think? Never seen before, a spinosaur-tooth from morocco with unusual structure (grooves), where do this come from? We have seen hundrets or thousands of this teeth from morocco but this is the first one with this structure. Preservation is good, has perhaps a pathology (crown not symmetric) I can do better pics if necessary, did them tonight with my iphone in the cellar after recognizing this grooves so, tooth is "in prep"
  2. Hi, Was just wondering if this is really a Spinosaur jaw fragment because most I see labelled as that turn out to be Croc instead. It is a small fragment at 6.5cm in length and comes from the Kem Kem. Thanks!

    Spinosaur claw or not?

We got a nice and original claw from morocco. I think it´s a spino foot-claw, but I am not 100% sure. Little bit eroded, so it is not as high as it should be. Has some color and lasure on it, so for the moment the color seems to be a little bit different on some places. Has some filled cracks, but not mounted Size is approx. 9x4x2,5 cm (around 3.6 x 1.6 x 1 ") What do you think?
  5. Just what the title says. What are the characterictics you search for in a tooth to do the ID?

    Authentic Spinosaurus Claw?

Is this an authentic Spinosaurus claw? I'm a little cautious as it's from Morocco and I've heard there's a lot of fakes, reconstructions from there.
  7. This is a spinosaur claw that in auction in a web where an expert puts an estimated value in things. The expert is giving a waaaay waaay lower valuation that you would expect for this and the description really doesn't say anything about if it's a composite, super repared, etc. It just says that it's natural. What do you thing the deal is with this claw? Has something real in it but has tons of reparations?

ID and authenticity of 4 fossils

Hello, I recently acquired some fossils at a mineral show. I already tried to identify them, but I am not 100% sure, especially since I am not sure about the authenticity in some cases. It would be great if you could help me further! 1. In the of the ammonite at least one spine on the right side is not real, but I am not sure if it is a real restored fossil or a complete fake. I also don't know the age or locality. 2. The fish fossil is apparently from Wyoming and 250 million years old. But since it looks relatively "modern" I suspect that I misunderstood what was said and that it is supposed to be 52 million years old. If this is the case I suspect it could be either Knightia or Gosiutichthys from the Green River Formation. I am also not sure if parts of it were painted. 3. The tooth was sold as a spinosaurid tooth from Morocco. If that is the case then it has to be of a juvenile, but I can't rule out that it really is the tooth of a plesiosaur or an ornithocheirid pterosaur. The tip broke of during transportation, so I had to glue it back on. 4. The trilobite is also supposed to come from Morocco and was said to be approximately 350 million years old. I suspect it to belong to the genus Phacops or a close relative.
  9. I know @Troodon posted a guide to identify theropod teeth from Niger, and in it there's only one spinosaur; suchomimus. But are there any indications of multiple spinosaurs as of yet in the elrhaz? Most likely there were I'm sure but i don't know what data exists
  10. Good afternoon, May I know this claw is fake or not, please? Because the color seems not natural. But I’m not sure about that. So I hope to learn more about it. Thank you so much.
  11. Are these real Spinosaurus claws? This claw was found in Kem Kem, Morocco. Looks like a real spinosaurus claw to me. If anyone knows, please let me know. Thanks in advance!

    Is this a spinosaurus claw?

Is this a spinosaurus claw? If anyone knows, please let me know. The layers discovered are Kem Kem in Morocco. The size is 180mm. Thanks in advance.
  13. Is this a spinosaurus claw? please tell me. Origin: Continental Intercalair, Morocco. The size is 46 mm. Thanks in advance.

    Kem Kem Theropod Vert

Hi. I've just received this Kem Kem huge partial theropod vertebra (just the process) and I just wanted to know whether it's possible to ID? Was told Spinosaurid is likely but could also be Carch. Thanks in advance.

    Spinosaurus bone?

I’m gambling that this is a spinosaur bone, as it is supposed to be, but I really don’t know. Can anyone ID what this bone is, and if it’s spinosaurus or not? It’s apparently from Kem Kem. Thanks so much for any, and all help:)

    Spinosaurus aegyptiacus

From the album: My collection in progress

Spinosaurus aegyptiacus Stromer 1915 Location: Kem Kem Beds, Morocco Age: 95 Mya (Cenomanian, Upper Cretaceous) Measurements: 7x2 cm Kingdom: Animalia Phylum: Chordata Subphylum: Vertebrata Class: Reptilia Subclass: Diapsida Superorder: Dinosauria Order: Saurischia Suborder: Theropoda Family: Spinosauridae
  17. Here by my new Spinosaurus Aegypticus tooth from Taouz, Morocco. It is 4 1/2 inches. The colors are less common than your regular Moroccon Spinosaurus teeth. It has 0 restoration done to the tooth, and the quality is very high. Which I find special about this one. Noticed some slight patho and serrations on this tooth too? Could someone explain the patho perhaps.
  18. I recently bought this Spinosaurus tooth but I noticed the back looks a bit different to other teeth I've bought in the past just wondering if it's been repaired or restored?
  19. Hi all. I found this Spinosaurid tooth online. I like the colour of the crown, but I am not sure about the root part. Do you think it is real or is it, or parts of it, added on? Thanks!
  20. Hey guys, Saw this spinosaurus online and looks a bit to "good" for the money. Can anybody tell if its a real or a fake?
  21. Hi, This bone looks like a Spinosaur neural spine, but I'm not too sure. Does anyone have an idea what this bone could be? Thanks!
  22. Hey all I got this Spinosaur tooth (Kem Kem Beds, Morocco) amongst other fossils and it caught my attention because of the root and I thought I'd run it by people far more experienced than I. There is some obvious fill on the distal side of the tooth and a broken tip but the transition between the crown and root is smooth suggesting it's all one genuine piece ...? Your thoughts....?
