Hello, I was about to purchase this Struthiomimus specimen for my mother but I happened to come across this forum so I decided to make an account and post to see if you guys would be willing to offer any insight about the authenticity of these Struthiomimus claw & toe bones. The seller said he got the parts for this specimen from his friend that he has collected with before. He has plenty of testimonies going years back. Apparently the parts were all found within 10 miles of each other in Wilbaux County, Montana. -
I purchased this claw as a Struthuiomimus claw, it was advertised as such. I later on realized it's probably a turtle claw however.. it's from the hell creek formation What do people here think? It's 4.5 cm long @Troodon

I'll break my trip report to South Dakota into two parts. First will be my visit to the BHI followed by collecting adventure The purpose of going to the BHI was to pick up the Leptoceratops maxilla's I left during my June trip. Pete has been collecting and pulling together specimens to understand and possibly describe this ceratopsid in the Hell Creek. The material he's collected so far appears to be from an adult and is much smaller than L. gracilis. My maxilla's seem to fit the smaller morphotype. Hi, I was recently at a gem, mineral and fossil show where I purchased this fossil that was labeled "Struthiomimus Claw". Upon a closer look when I got home something just seems off. It doesnt really look too much like a claw to me. The tag says that it is from the Hell Creek of South Dakota although that is as specific as it got. Does this look like a Struthiomimus claw? If not, is there any idea as to what it may be instead? Fossil is 1 inch long and and about .75 of an inch tall.

This is from Hell Creek formation and 8 inches long. Seller named this 'Struthiomimus'. I compared it with some examples of ornithomimids from Hell Creek and I think this is a 3rd metatarsal of an ornithomimid.. If someone can verify? Thanks

Hi all, these two fossils were found in North Dakota's Hell Creek fm. this past summer. I believe they are vertebrae from ornithomimosaurs but I'm not certain. I'd like the input of my peers on the forum. The first one seems like it would be from a juvenile as it's mostly complete but very small at just under an inch long. The other is missing an end, but is a bit larger at about an inch and a quarter in length. First: Second:

The first two pictures I think are struthiomimus, although I'm not entirely sure if that toe bone matches up to it or not. They were found together though. The claw is about 2" long, the toe bone is about 1.25". The third and fourth pictures, I think is either struthiomimus as well, or raptor, but I don't know which. It is just under 2" long. The last picture of the tiny metatarsal or metacarpal, I have no idea.
