Some of my herbivorous dinosaur teeth. I need to fix a couple of the labels, as I've recently learned that "Tegana Formation" isn't actually a thing.-

I had a left over 5 pound piece of matrix sitting outside from last summer's trip to the Burlington, Iowa area. Finally this summer, I broke up the Mississippian age rock a bit, soaked it in acid for a few weeks, and then extracted these teeth from the softened matrix.

This fossil was found by a kid on the Pacific foothills of the Talamanca Mountains, Costa Rica. Between San Vito and Buenos Aires. Trying to sort out what it is.

Hi everyone! I've been collecting for almost 3 years now. After 3 years, I finally really know what my interest is. General dinosaur teeth + Marine reptiles up to the Cretaceous. I am bit at a halt however. For some dinosaur subspecies i have many teeth of. Which is starting to feel boring in my opinion. My thoughts want to collect as many dinosaur species as possible. Which require a lot of better contacts & patience. Do i sell of most of my teeth from one species or do I keep them? So many questions in my head. I'd love some tips, and how you other paleo fans collect your dinosaur teeth/fossils.

Confirming T-Rex Tooth Please
XMarksThe Spot posted a topic in Is It Real? How to Recognize Fossil Fabrications
Hi everyone. I've been lurking around this site for some time looking over posts regarding t-tex teeth as I've been searching for an entry level specimen. I normally deal in high end mineral specimens, and generally keep away from fossils as it's a complex specialty. I recently purchased this tooth off an auction site and wanted to get an opinion or two about it's authenticity. From my past "lurking" it would appear this tooth matches the description and images I have seen previously posted. It's 1.6" and comes from "Hell Creek." Any educational feedback is greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.- 6 replies
