  1. It's Thanksgiving here in the U.S., so let's see what fossil(s) you are thankful for getting this year. Could be something you personally found or something you acquired. I'll start with a few things I found this year: Knifejaw fish beak that won VFOTM in January - Aetomylaeus sp. mouth plate - And a beautiful retroflexus - There are plenty of others, but these are a few of my favorites. Let's see yours!

    Happy turkey day!

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone that celebrates! I’m thankful for a lot, but I wanted to let you all know that I’m thankful for you and this forum. For me, it’s a home away from home and you’re all like a family to me. So, I hope you all get to fill your bellies until they nearly explode…but make sure to leave room for pie!
  3. For those of us in the States that celebrate Thanksgiving tomorrow Happy Thanksgiving. If the meal of choice is a Turkey well enjoy your Dinosaur feast like I will. If you have difficulty in convincing family and friends about this dinosaur feast Danny Anduza posted this tool to help you. Its sized to be printable, free and a great cheat sheet.
  4. From MD, visiting OKC for another week. Had a great day at Lake Texoma last weekend and looking to spend a few more days around Thanksgiving hunting with a local or with local wisdom. Could us a little help getting a little more off the beaten path where less broken fossils are more likely. I guess you'd call me an experienced newbie. Elementary science teacher by day, love to hunt fossils by the days I'm not teaching. Would love to find some more ammonites, do a nice trilobite hunt, or whatever is within a "reasonable" drive for a day or two trip. Any favorite spots or formations with close to spots you'd be willing to share would be grateful. If you want to join and feel like you are budding movie star, I'd be happy to include you in the next video lesson about the Earth and Fossils, targeted towards 4-10 year olds. If you'd prefer just to pm, I would be grateful for that, too! pm please.
