    Summerville/Greens Mill Run side trip

Better late than never right?! I'm finally getting around to sharing my finds from a recent trip up the east coast for work, with a few pitstops along the way! The first two images were from an all day hunt in a creek in Summerville, with Folly Beach Fossils! The third image are my spoils from a solo half a day in GMR... Right by elm street park, because the water was way too high to go further down stream from there, and I didn't have much time! What a great time finding a couple of new species and making a few more friends along the way! I cannot wait to get back up there and hunt again!!!

    Alopias latidens

Originally described from the Oligocene of Belgium (préliminaire sur des poissons nouveaux de l'Oligocène Belge, Leriche 1909) this tooth conforms well to the description. It is a rarely found tooth in Castle Hayne Deposits of North Carolina. Very similar to the Miocene A. vulpinas, I believe they cannot be the same with such a small sampling and a 25-million-year separation. Reference: Fossil Fish, Volume 3 of 4. North Carolina Fossil Club. Richard Chandler, 2015 pgs. 58, 59

    peace river shark teeth

Hey y'all. I got some peace river gravel and found some small shark teeth in it. There's a few interesting ones that I can't decide what they are. They might not be identifiable, but I'm just curious if they are. Thanks!
