Hi all. This tooth is advertised as an Rebbachisaurus tooth from Kem Kem (these are the only pictures provided). I have tried to find comparable teeth in earlier topics on this forum, but I was not really able to find a good match. What do you think? Is it a Sauropod tooth? Could it be Rebbachisaurus or probably something else? Or are more pictures or details needed? Thanks!

Hi there, I'm looking at possibly buying another saurpod egg. The seller identified it as a hypselosaurus priscus egg, Provence basin france. From the last post I did not on eggs I understand eggs are specifically attributed to hypselosaurus anymore? I'm looking for a museum quality piece as my other egg examples are just decent. Please give me your thoughts and let me know if you require more photos Thank you!

I need help identifying these sauropod teeth from Yixian Formation
-Andy- posted a topic in Fossil ID
Hi all, I have several sauropod teeth from the Yixian Formation of Liaoning that I need help identifying. This is Tooth 1 - White Length: 44 mm Formation: Jianshangou Beds of Yixian Formation Locality: Chaomidianzi, Sihetun, Beipiao, Liaoning Province I believe this is a Dongbeititan dongi tooth as this tooth has the morphology of titanosauriform teeth, and Dongbeititan is the only titanosauriform from that locality as far as I know. The formation is based off the locality of Chaomidianzi (my source was confident of that locality-

A new paper is out online: Gallina, P. A., Canale, J. I., & Carballido, J. L., 2021. The earliest known titanosaur sauropod dinosaur. Ameghiniana 58(1), 35-51. https://doi.org/10.5710/AMGH.20.08.2020.3376 Ninjatitan is recovered as a basal titanosaur in the cladistic analysis by Gallina et al., making it the oldest primitive titanosaur to be described and at last synchronizes the basal titanosaur fossil record with the timing of the divergence between titanosaurs and other somphospondylans in the earliest Cretaceous.

I was trying to find the largest sauropod ever and have seen upwards of over 200 feet long, I know most of these giant estimates are based off only a few bones so I guess my question is what is the longest sauropod with a reliable length, and are some of these less reliable estimates still larger than others even at the lower estimate. Thanks guys in advance

The Advanced Dinosaur Egg Guide Please share this with those who have egg questions. When possible, technical terms were avoided or defined. Every effort has been made to ensure accuracy, but it is always important to do your own research. This guide is merely a snapshot of information taken from many scientific publications. I am not an expert on eggs, rather I just love sharing what little I have learned over the years, what science has learned over the years. For an overview on how to spot a fossilized dinosaur egg and the sizes of eggs, see the basic guide:

A few months ago we purchased a T-Rex tooth from TFF member @Troodon and he also gave us a super nice Nano tooth. I never got his permission to mention that sale or the gift so I get that anonymous. That is our only T-Rex material and it was also the first fossil donation to our program from a Fossil Forum member. Those teeth really helped us get started becasue it allowed us to use our small budget to fill in other parts of the dinosaur program around having T-Rex stuff. We owe him a huge thank you for that and I wanted to share this on the forum. Well we now have another gigantic

...for the Field Museum in Chicago is an impressively large completely cast model of a huge titanosaur. You may remember seeing the David Attenborough BBC documentary back in 2016 called David Attenborough and the Giant Dinosaur (allusions to James and the Giant Peach?) The special covers the discovery, reconstruction and display of a new species named Patagotitan mayorum, a 37 meter long beast (not surprisingly) from the Patagonia region of Argentina. Bones from several individuals were found at the site and it seems that the Field Museum must have purchased a few actual bones to be displayed

The Field Museum has revealed the name of the new titanosaur that is being installed in Stanley Field Hall in the next few weeks. His scientific name is Patagotitan mayorum. He lived about 100 million years ago in what is now Patagonia, Argentina. The spanish word maximo translates to "maximum" or "most" in English. This name references his massive size! The largest dinosaur ever discovered is on his way to the Field Museum and we can't wait for you to meet him. Our giant pre-historic friend, Máximo the Titanosaur, will make his debut at the museum this June. This tremendous ti
