New guy from Southeast Alabama here. Hello to everyone. Just wondering what you guys think that have a lot more experience. I know that this is a worked piece of flint but I find them all the time that are in the shape of a tooth. I think it's probably just coincidence just wanted someone else's opinion that knows a little more. Thanks in advance.

I recently acquired three tooth fossils from southwestern China initially labeled as a "Plesiosaurus indet." tooth. The specific locality of the tooth fossils is the Lower Shaximiao Formation, Zigong, Sichuan, China. The age of the Lower Shaximiao formation ranges from Early to Middle Jurassic. The only known plesiosaur species from the Shaximiao formation is Bishanopliosaurus zigongensis, a rhomaleosaurus. If these three tooth are indeed identified as a plesiosaur tooth, they probably belong to Bishanopliosaurus sp. Can anyone help me to identify whether these teeth are plesiosaur teeth?

I recently came across a "Dolichorhynchops" tooth listed for sale by a US seller. However, I am unable to personally verify its identity due to my limited knowledge of polycotylid teeth. Based on the provided pictures, the tooth fossil exhibits a strong curvature and appears to have ornamentation solely on its lingual surface. Do these characteristics suggest that it belongs to Dolichorhynchops?

I stopped at Beason's Crossing on the Colorado River in Columbus yesterday and found this fossil while on my rock hunt. I'm leaning towards a bison tooth fossil, based on my internet search but would love any insights from such an experienced group.

A little crack on a goblin shark tooth fossil, broken off cusplet. Is it OK?

Few years ago I found this nice small 1" goblin shark tooth fossil (Scapanorhynchus texanus) in the sand, and it had a very little second outgrowth tooth, like on the second picture. But this little tooth had broke off and lost (look on the first picture). So, is it a problem and will it affect on this fossil's value, or is it OK?

Hi everyone! I went to Flagponds in Calvert County MD a few weeks ago and came back with my biggest *actual* fossil haul so far (I posted here my first time with about 50 barnacle pieces)! I know there are a few ray plate fragments in here, and I've included what I think are bone pieces although I'm not entirely sure. Anyway, I'm having a lot of trouble identifying my shark's teeth, so any help with this would be greatly appreciated! I'll post numbered photos of my finds with this. If anyone needs a zoomed in, clearer or different angle pic I'm happy to provide more. (Advance apologies for the broken down photos, these teeth are really tiny so I had to take multiple pics to make them visible)

Hi! I'm new to fossil hunting and I went to the Calvert Cliffs formation in Maryland this week. I collected these fossil looking pieces, but I'm having trouble identifying them and whether or not any are actual teeth (shark or other animal) or teeth fossilized in something. Any help would be appreciated!

Found this little jewl with my girlfriend along the Uchee Creek in Ft. Mitchell Alabama this past weekend. I'm pretty sure it's a fossilized shark's tooth but I cannot say for certain. Anyone want to help out?
