You may or may not know that I have been obsessing over finding a mosasaur vertebra and tooth. I am lucky to live in Texas where fossils are plentiful in some areas but the most productive mosasaur area is still 6 hours drive from me. So I don't get there often and the few times I have.....no verts or teeth for me. I am not complaining (too much) because I have found other great things in the North Sulphur River, but not the mosie vert or tooth of my dreams. I am lucky to have friends who hunt there regularly who feel sorry for me and give me verts and even a lovely big tooth. But I DIDN'T FIND THEM. I do know that mosie stuff can be found in Central Texas where I live (thanks to @Jared C and his amazing adventures) I know they can be found (although very rarely) in our local creeks and such. So of course I keep an eye out while hunting but with no real hope of finding them. But I hope anyways! Which brings me to today....which I count as part of my birthday weekend (birthday was Friday, but you know.....weekend still counts! ). Went out on a little fossil hunt to a new site that a friend told me about...lots of baculites (which are relatively rare here in Central Texas) and lo and behold.....I FOUND MY VERT! And not two feet away....a little tooth! Mother Nature decided to gift me not just one, but TWO of my bucket list fossil finds today! Granted, they are pretty busted up and the tooth is not complete, but WHO CARES! I FOUND A MOSASAUR VERT AND TOOTH practically in my own backyard!!!! Turns out this little exposure is Ozan Formation and I can't wait to get back out there again....after a good rain! And, to top it off, found a complete ammonite in addition to some lovely gastropods and about a billion baculites. It's no mosie in situ, but I'll take what I am gifted. Thank you Mother Nature!!!

Yay, i finally got my hands on a nice Eocarcharia tooth from the Elhraz formation, Niger ! Its 3,5 cm in length and the broken end is quite smooth. Has anyone an Idea why ? It's as smooth as glass. Are there any rivers running through that formation which could have possibly sanded it down? Thanks to hear some of yours ideas!

Hello, I’m looking for help identifying this tooth. We were shark tooth hunting in Florida and found this in the dry sand. It was in an area between a bay and the ocean. It is about 0.75” in length. Any thoughts?

Is my Spino tooth legitimate?

About half an hour ago, I bought a Spino tooth from a shop filled with many random things near my holiday property. I just noticed this tooth has a white chip in it and it led me to slightly doubt if it is real. I think it most likely is real.

Hi! This is a 19MM rooted theropod tooth from the KemKem group. Sold as an Abelisaurus. But would it be possible to be a Baby rooted Carcharodontosaurus tooth? Not sure.

Hello - This is my first post here. When I first saw this, I immediately thought it might be a tooth or some sort but dismissed it as a rock once it dried. I took a closer look the other day and noticed it did have spongy bone like texture at the ridges, and under magnification I noticed more bone like characteristics. I can't find anything like this shape anywhere. None of the teeth I've seen have roots like this, and there aren't any claws that have such a big bulbous end. Although it looks like a tooth, I don't see any straight lines/enamel like textures. This was found at a beach in Santa Cruz, Ca. This measures 4" long x 3" wide and 2" thick. It is very symmetrical. The pics represent this fossil both wet and dry to see various details. Any assistance is very much appreciated. THANK YOU!

In past, I was afraid of the tooth damage, so I put adhesive on the tooth. But adhesive parts turned white, because it didn’t dry properly, so I requested an acquaintance to restore it. Fortunately, removing adhesive was successful. Due to, the striation looks clearer. Here’s check it. Lastly, more closer striations.

Below is a reptile tooth, from the Ypresian of the Ouled Abdoun Basin in Morocco, that I have been struggling to identify. I suspect it to be a dyrosaurid of some description, but I'm not particularly confident in that statement. The tooth has no serrations, but it does have a ridge on one side, which I attempted to capture in the final image. Thanks in advance for any proposed ID's Othniel

This tooth looks bit like one of Xenodens calminechari, so I would like to get opinions could it be one or perhaps something else. Marocco, Oued zem. Crown H: 1.0cm, L: 1.0cm, W: 0.6cm.

Howdy Folks, Here's some pictures of another one of my finds from the beaches of Lincoln County, Oregon. This was found many years ago in the beach gravel laying on top of the Oligocene Nye Mudstone. I don't think it is that old. It doesn't seem as solid and well preserved as some of the other teeth and bones that I have found in the area. Anyway, I just thought I would post a few pics for your entertainment. Your thoughts are appreciated. Thank You

Hello! I just came back from the Isle of Wight. I started "digging" in the Vectis formation stones that I collected at Yaverland and found what looks like a pterosaur tooth. It is +- 3 cm (1,18 inch) in lenght. I couldn't find anything online from the Isle of Wight resembling this kind of dagger shape, more typical of the Rhamphorhynchus pterosaurs. So pterosaur, fish or something else? Thank you!

Hello, i have this still unlabled mammal tooth in my collection. I found it in Zaanse Schanz, Netherlands on a path named : de kwakels. Rigth next to the finding location is a sheep pasture, so its probably a modern sheep tooth.

I found this tooth at El Capitán Beach on the coast by Santa Barbara in the mid 90’s. Any idea who lost their tooth? I’ve wondered what animal this tooth belonged to. Can anyone help me identify it?

I was agate hunting in Crescent City, CA, at Pebble Beach. I found this tooth. I've been an avid "fossiler" for decades. My usual places are Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, and the Peace River in Florida. I've found numerous types of teeth, Glyptodont scutes, etc. This is my first find in CA. I can't identify the tooth. Seal? Dolphin? Human? I am curious if the root has been agatized to some degree. Any help in identifying what animal this tooth came from is greatly appreciated.

Found this digging in the sand at rollover pass texas. It's very heavy and I have never seen anything like it. I have found wild hog, camel and horse bones but this doesn't look anything like them. I used Google lens and it wasn't much help. Can anyone help?

Hello, i saw this big Spinosaurus tooth (14cm) on auction today, and it looks very good to me. But the root is a bit suspicious. It doesnt match with the colors and texture of the real tooth. Was a fake root formed to gain more centimeters to make it more valuebale ? It was found in the Kemkem beds of morocco.

Size is: 35 cm across left to right and 45 cm top to bottom I found this tooth the other day on a SE Texas River gravel bar. I think it's Equus. I haven't found any pre-Equus and I don't think this is that. But could this perhaps be the last tooth in the row of teeth due to it's shape at the chewing end? Also... could it be worn down and is the reason for it's size?

Hello, i saw this absolutely massive tooth for sale today. The finding location is unknown, but it reminds me a bit of Suchomimus, but its way to big. Maybe a sperm whale tooth ? Maybe someone can tell from the pictures which animal this tooth belongs to.
