Hi All, I'm looking for some help to try and better ID this bone I collected on a Hell Creek Microsite last Summer. This was only an isolated bone and as you can see isn't complete. The length of the bone is just under 10" and the width is 4" at it's narrow point. It's a fairly flat bone with curved-edges on both sides. It's also hollow as you'll see from the photos of the end. The owner of the ranch said it had a very similar pitting on the surface to other t-rex bones they'd found on the site. This microsite produces plenty of T-rex, Nano, Hadrosaur and Triceratops material. It might of course be impossible to ID due to it's incomplete nature. It is however a pretty large chunk of bone so there are only a few bones that it could be. I was thinking it could be part of a theropod scapula due to the flat near-rectangular shape of this. Any thoughts? Tom

I got this tooth a while ago, and It was sold to me as T-Rex. I’m not really sure if it is indeed from one, or a Nanotyrannus. It’s a small tooth, found in the Hell Creek formation. Either way it’ll still be one of my favorite teeth. I’ll post some pictures.

Hello! Dinosaurs are my passion since I was a child. Right now I have time and money to devote more to my passion. I would like if you could recommend some good paleontologist or seller to buy some not very large tooth, of good quality and at a reasonable price of T Rex (my favorite dinosaur). I'm from Spain, I hope that is not a problem for the shipping issue. Thank you.

On Sunday I took a trip to the Natural History Museum in London. I queued up before it opened at 10am and even before then there was a long queue. I have not visited this museum since I was a child and spent an entire day there (10am to 4.30pm - a long time). I was surprised as it is a lot bigger than I remembered and there was so much to see. This place has the most wonderful things and is an incredible place to learn. The museum showcases a Baryonyx, Sophie the Stegosaurus (the world's most complete Stegosaurus) and more! The moving Trex and Deinonychus are also really realistic in the way they move. If you like your dinosaur teeth, the Megalosaurus and Daspletosaurus teeth are out of this world! There is something for everyone in this museum and I would highly recommend that you visit here if you have not already! A lot of the dinosaur specimens are casts taken from other museums but they are still cool to look at. I had taken the photos on my SLR and due to the size of the photos I had to reduce the quality of them to be able to post on the forum which is unfortunate but it's the only way otherwise the photos would take a really long time to load. There are more non-dinosaur related photos that I will be posting at some point later on but may take me some time to pick out. Enjoy the photos from this section of the museum! Okay, so I have a couple of fossils in my collection, in which I'd like some more opinions on. First, I bought this un-identified dinosaur chevron bone. It is from the Kem Kem beds, Morocco.

I inherited a lot of fossils from my grandmother. She collected these fossils in her youth when she dated a Navajo in the 60s. The pic is said to be a t rex root. I have alot of others. I can't find a authenticator. Can anyone help or know of one in the bay area, California. I'll post pics of the other fossils if anyone is interested. I'm still learning this forum. Bare with me please. Thank you for reading.

MORE PICTURES IN LOWER POSTS! Howdy everyone! I picked up this tooth not long ago and am curious if it is either nanotyrannus or T-Rex? Tooth comes from the hell creek formation. It was sold to me as nanotyrannus but it seems somewhat bulky and thick at the bottom so I thought I'd ask. Tooth is roughly 1-3/8" long in a straight line. Thanks for the help everyone!

Saw these listed yesterday and the tooth was identified as a T-rex 1.55" long and Vertebra being from a Hadrosaur. Like to have confirmation on those ID's thanks

So, can anyone shatter my dreams with THIS one? Lol no, I'm really extremely appreciative of the help Ive been getting with questionable fossils, and the chance to learn important and helpful information! the description says it all...this is supposed to be a tyrannosaurus fibula fragment. Seems legit to me, but I could definitely use other opinions. This is a hell creeker.

I found this great tooth while browsing online. It's small, 15/16 inch, but a chance to own a piece of my favorite dinosaur is one I'll take! Of course, it is labeled as a Rex tooth, and to me it checks out. But after looking at it for a while I'm beginning to think it may be a complete crown from a juvenile. Heres my question: is this a T. rex tooth? Or is it an indet. tyrannosaurid?

Well, following up on my theropod ID topic... Really shocked...in under 8 hours, Tyrannosaurus rex expert Pete Larson gets back to me with this response regarding my fossil being T.rex or not...I guess after 20 buying mistakes, eventually good things do happen ...feels surreal... here’s his response to me: (last picture) Now officially one of my most prized possessions, and maybe the most for that matter..

Possible Trex tooth UPDATE

Hey guys I've got an update on the trex tooth I bought a few weeks back! To restate general info, the tooth is 1.5 inches and was found in Lance Creek FM Wyoming. I am once again asking the question if this is indeed a Rex tooth or not now that I have it in hand. Here's the pictures below

Hi all, I may buy this trex tooth as my final trex tooth at some point. What do you think? I am aware these tooth are notoriously overpriced though. I've asked the seller for a basal photo of the tooth. Also it seems like it's missing a small bit of serrations but personally don't want a perfect specimem. Typically the seller wants someone to buy it now so is telling me that another person is also looking to buy this and another 3 5/16" trex tooth (with not as good surface quality) so if I want it buy it now..coincidence right? Considering it's been advertised for 2 weeks now lol. Hell Creek Formation, Montana Measures approx. 3 1/8″ long Thanks!

Hi there, I have recently seen a trex claw online that is around 4 inches in length and the seller says it was found in Baker, Montana however I know that this claw is often misidentified as anzu wyliei. Can anyone tell by the below photos if this is a trex claw? The size makes me think it is and the seller is not sure whether it's hand or foot. I would like to have seen a photo of the side of the claw to measure width but this photo has not been put up by the person. It is a bit out of my budget for the kind of money that I would ever spend but I find pieces like this very interesting and I know I should trust the seller but I would like feedback from members of this forum. Thanks!
