    Brachiopod ID Request please

I recently found this brachiopod in an Upper Ordovician formation, I usually find hundreds of sowerbyella and other fossilized gastropods, this one seems rare in this formation as these are the only ones I have found for this genus. An ID would be much appreciated! Thanks!

More Ordovician finds at Mimico Creek

Here are a few more of my recent finds at Mimico Creek. As always, I'm grateful for comments and IDs to increase my knowledge! By the way, I'm interested in connecting with others in the Toronto area to go on fossil hunts. Cheers! Camille

    Unknown fossil

I wonder what this strange circle can be. The size is 1 cm in diameter, from Upper Ordovician west of Oslo, Norway. Could it be a foram?
  18. PaleoOrdo

    What can this be?

In Hadeland, Norway, I found this two fossils, about the same size and in the same rock. Anyone have any idea what it is? The age is Upper Ordovician, in the Kalvsjøen formation. It is dykes in the area, but not exactly where I found the rock. Then here is the other side of the rock:
  19. I got a fossil plate at around 5.5" long with trilobites from online. The seller states that: Location: La Prairie, Quebec, Canada Age: Upper Ordovician Formation: Nicolet Formation The plate also has other fossils that I could not identify. They look like fan. Are they just scallops? I also find something in the last picture. I don't know they used to be plant or animal. Thank you very much for your help.
  20. PaleoOrdo

    What is this?

I found these strange wave forms in a rock in the late Katian, Upper Odovician, Kalvsjøen formation, Oslo field, Norway. What can it be? Any help appreciated.
  21. Hi everyone! The last few times I went out fossil hunting, I tried to find new exposures along Mimico Creek in Toronto. All of these trips were unsuccessful, so I thought I'd try to find a new site along Etobicoke Creek instead. Today I checked out a new location and fossils were found - hooray!!! Here are some photos of what I found: (note that all of these fossils are from the Upper Ordovician Georgian Bay Formation) First, the trilobite pieces (@piranha - please let me know if I've identified them correctly - thank you! ): Isotelus maximus: cephalon (with a nice Ambonychia radiata bivalve next to it) and a chunk of thorax (circled in red) Flexicalymene granulosa: 2 cephala (one is quite large and the other (if it is a F. granulosa cephalon - I'm not sure if it is) is small and is circled in red), 2 pygidia (circled in red), and 1 slice through a thorax (circled in red): More to come...

    Trilobite

Found in a dam/quarry on the road between Gunningbland and Forbes in central western NSW. The pictured specimen is the counterpart. For reference - CAMPBELL, K. S. W., DURHAM, G. J. 1970. 23. Hi everyone! I found this piece yesterday at my new spot along Etobicoke Creek here in Mississauga, Ontario (Georgian Bay Formation, Upper Ordovician). It's a bryozoan of some sort with some crinoid stems on it, along with an imprint that I think is either a Cruziana ichnofossil or a weathered crinoid stem imprint - what do you all think? I've boxed the imprint in red. Thanks in advance! Monica Views of the imprint: View of the other side of the rock/bryozoan: Close-up of the bryozoan:
  24. Hello once again! Upon closer examination of some items I recently collected from Etobicoke Creek in Mississauga, Ontario (Georgian Bay Formation, Upper Ordovician), I have found a couple of items I'd like your thoughts on. Item #1: Found on the same rock as a monoplacophoran (Cyrtolites ornatus), the unknown item is tucked underneath some matrix: View of the whole rock: Close-ups of the unknown item: Continued...
