  1. This is part 2, site 2 of my Memorial day fossil hunting trip. You can see the site one report here: I chose to drive out to Denton Creek north of Ft. Worth. I had been there before, but had not gotten to explore the area. It was the takeout point from a kayaking trip I’d taken down the creek a few weeks before. It took me 30 minutes out to drive out there from the first location I hunted in Benbrook. If you pass the creek going north you can go up to the next exit and then loop back to the creek. There is a little rock and dirt path off the shoulder of the road that leads do
  2. During april i and a friend had the oportunity to spend a few days hunting in cretaceous of Normandy, hunting for echinoids. Day one : We drove from brittany through Le Havre to Saint Jouin de Bruneval and Antifer Cape. (3 hours and a half) We let the car on the beach parking lot and hiked south on the peeble shore looking for fossils in the boulders on the beach. The cliff is cenomanian with a bit of albian at the bottom. You have to look carefully on rocks surface for the familliar spherical shape. I found about 20 urchins but thats about it. No shark to

    Its always Interesting

The Peace River is a magic place, It always has surprises in store, even when I am finding little that is Spectacular!! Look at this selection found while hunting today. Some NICE Hemis, a flake from tool making, even a wild boar tusk (hollow inside and modern) and then The botryoidal translucent brown mineral growing on the fossil is chalcedony. Chalcedony often fills the empty spaces in fossils, especially wood and bone. Did I mention a calcified sea urchin spine .. NEAT !!! Even got 1 Meg (very 1st find of the day), and a couple of calcified Barn

    Echinoid Cidaris ID needed

Hello, fellow fossil enthusiasts and professionals I am looking to ID an echinoid. I have made some old notes but forgotten how I came to these thoughts, any help will be appreciated. 'CIDARIS INTERMEDIA ?, NOVIEN PORCIEN, ARDENNES.' or location 'THINULE LE MOUTIER' Bathonian stage, Jurassic period, the diameter of the test is approx 25mm, spine about 50mm.
