This Coronocephalus trilobite arrived in the mail today. I quite like it! However, it seems to be more or less unprepped and appears quite dirty. Anyone have any idea how I could clean it up? I havnt got an air scribe yet so won't be doing any rock removal but I'm sure I could get it looking a little nicer. There is a lot of dried mud in the cracks and such. I have little experience with trilobites as I've only become interested in them recently, and don't want to damage the fossil. Any advice guys?

The middle Silurian trilobite, Coronocephalus gauluoensis. From Hunan, China. This one needs a little cleaning. I wonder how much of the cephalon is under that matrix... -
This Coronocephalus trilobite just arrived in the mail. I don't really know a lot about them. I believe it is most likely C. gaoluoensis. I do know its from Hunan, China, but not much else. Middle Silurian? Anyone got any info? Also, what do you guys think of the fossil? I quite like it even though it needs to be cleaned up a little. Thanx!

Coronocephalus Jastrowi, + & - Mountainous Area of western Hunan, China Silurian ~ 420 mya 27 mm long I boutgh this trilobite on internet! I am always scared that it would be a fake one when I buy on internet but this one have everything to say it is a real one ( other fossils on the rock and no glue) ! Great add to my collection! -
