Hi guys, hope everyone is doing well. In my free time I've been working on properly labeling my fossils. Now, not being an expert, I'm not quite sure of all the ID's but I'm not about to flood the forum with ID requests. So here are some of the ammonites I'm least sure about. If anyone could provide any more information on formations and ages etc. that would be great! Even if its hard to acquire more info on them, it will be a fun opportunity to showcase some of my ammonites. 1. 2. 3.darellia semicostata, burton bradstock 4.label says Dichotomoceras bifurcatoides from the middle oxfordian of poitiers, france, looks like persiphinctes spp to me though

Tonight, I started a block that iv had for quite some time, and being dying to prep. Annoyingly, the split from the nodule was very poor, cause a few different cracks, all the way through the ammonite. I glued this back up two days ago and let it set before starting prep. I couldn’t wait to get home from work today, so I could begin the real work. Prep photos to follow in the comments as I can’t size down these files any more

Hello again, Here another fossil that I bought at the same time as the shell in the previous topic. It's an ammonite coming from Rom, near Tours, in France; and the age of it is around 185mya (Pliensbachien stage of the early Jurassic). The seller did noot know what species it was exactly, but he was thinking of possibly Harpoceras sp. If yes, then what species of Harpoceras is it? If no, what is it then? Best regards, Max

The shell of this specimen is crushed, but it nevertheless withstood the pressure. Phragmocone.

I am hoping someone can help ID this ammonite I bought at a recent gem fair in Santa Rosa. The seller said it was a pyritized ammonite from France but didn't know anything more about it. (He had bought it from a seller from Romania and language was a barrier.) My best guess it is it is a microconch specimen from the Harpoceras genus but the growth lines aren't as sharply sickle shaped as the textbook examples I have seen. (Would you call these ribs "falcate" or "falcoid"? They look somewhere in between to me.) Also note the repeating squiggly lines running along the sides. Are these suture lines or are they artifacts of the pyritization (?) process? Thanks for your help!
