Hi Fossil friends! you were great identifying my false fossil (it was a bullet <insert embarrassed emoji>) Here is another chunk of bone found in Drumheller. I’m not too worried about what Dino it came from, but it would be awesome if that could be narrowed down. But I’d really like to know what bone/body part it may be. I’m thinking it’s part of a vert, or even a plate? Thank you for any info you may contribute! I’m more comfortable with Ontario Devonian fossils, but always looking to learn more about later Dino fossils as well. IMG_5203.mov

I recently came into possession of some fossil fragments of sloths and Mastodons found in Florida. But I'm having trouble figuring out what parts of the animals the fragments are from. I know the lower left is a Mastodon forvea capitus and the upper left is a sloth vertabrea i need to repair . What are the other two Sloth or Mastodon ? And if so what part of the body ?

Here's a collection of all the specimens from florissant i still need an I.D. for. This large leaf i need an I.D. for Small bug about 1 centimeter across Some sort of moth i have no clue what insect this is. Could this be a dragonfly wing about 2 centimeters long but still partially covered. Could this be a wing to the right of the leaf Last one some sort of flying bug. Plant and insect experts please help I know it may be difficult to narrow it down to a species but just knowing what kind of bug it is would help. Thank you.

Can anyone tell me what this is? I was thinking it was some sort of coral. I found it on the Jurassic Coast of England.

Hi guys, so I went back to my woodland fossil hunting spot this morning, and found something I think is truly incredible. From what I can make out on this fossil there is a mix of fossiled bones, starfish spinal rows? Clams, shells and possibly other stuff, I gave it a clean and never expected all that under there. I've also added a pic of the geology of the area, can anyone identify some stuff on the fossil and suggest how I can clean it better, thanks a lot.

Can anyone confirm the I.D of this fish skull from the Isle of Sheppey (England)
gremlinshow posted a topic in Fossil ID
I think this skull from Minster cliffs on the Isle of Sheppey is from an Eocoelopoma Curvatum but would love some confirmation if possible. Any more details required please ask :-) Many thanks for any assistance. Gary- 12 replies
