Purchased these two little friends in Alnif and unfortunately I can't find the information about them (species, locale). I think I remember the black one from the Ordovician or Devonian, and possibly the other from the Fezouata Formation. Perhaps someone here will know more. I know the black one was prepped personally by the seller in Alnif and I think he did the other as well. I'm going to keep looking as I was sure I recorded the info somewhere.

Incredible Devonian Phyllocarid with Antenna New York
mikeymig posted a topic in Fossil Hunting Trips
Phyllocarid Collecting trip 4/9/2021 Devonian N.Y. A beautiful Echinocaris punctata (Hall) with mandibles and antenna. This is as found unprepped and awesome. You can see the complete mandibles under the carapace, attached pyritized brachiopods, and a first for me, pyritized antenna. Happy collecting! -

Hi all, I noticed this weird little object on a rock in my collection from the famous Talbragar Fish Beds (late Jurassic of Australia) and I was wondering whether it might be a feathery insect antenna or just a small bit of plant. Both plants (conifers and ferns mostly) and rare insects are known from the site. It measures only 5 mm long and I have done a quick drawing of it to show the form easier. Note the double branching tips on the lower filaments. Cheers!
