Hey, been a while, so i decided to start a new topic for the new year. Headed out on Thursday 25/01 to the river shores in Antwerp again. First hunt of the year since i've worked non-stop so far and a contractor is rebuilding our house.. It was great being out again so i was already pleased on beforehand, finding some nice teeth made it even better π here's some in situ pics.. Rolled C. hastalis C. hastalis in excellent shape my first Parotodus benedeni ever, not in great shape but an awesome find anyway π Finally a complete 6cm C. hastalis VID20240125131132.mp4 And some random mammal teeth Had a great first hunt of the year, and I already feel like going back! oh yeah, here's the whole lot cleaned up.. Surprised about how many different species i got covered this time π Grtz, Dries

Iβm curious about some ID I have some teeth that I think are Auriculatus and some that I think are Chubs. Wondering if others know? The three on the left are what I presumed to be Auriculatus from inshore (new Hanover NC) the others are from offshore diving (chubs). What do yβall think?

This pendant was purchased from a fossil seller in Florida where it was found. Was purchased as an Angustiden, but I am just curious if that ID is correct. To me, the cusps look small and the main body is too wide to be an Angustiden, but I am no expert! Appropriate 2 1/4β in length. Any help is appreciated!

Hi I picked up this beauty recently, I think its an Angi but I am no expert and despite reading books on fossil teeth and looking at pictures of others I cannot make my mind up, what is the difference between the Angustidens and Auriculatis, is the Auriculatis more Otodus Obiliquus looking with slight serrations while the Angustidens more Megalodon looking with side cusps ?. It is 2.6" along its longest side if this helps.

This is my Otodus Auriculatus shark tooth that I got for quite cheap (30$) from the same inexperienced seller who sold me my trilobite. He sold it to me as being a Megalodon. I think its a good deal because Its 7cm diagonal and is quite nicely preserved. What do you think? Hope you like the post!
