A little help from the larger fossil community? I'm new to this site and am an amateur fossil hunter. Sometimes you just know you have a fossil. Other times you just aren't quite sure. In this case it's the latter. I found this at OCMD ( EDIT: Ocean City, Maryland) in August of '22. At first glance, I see a tooth! But, ever cautious I remain somewhat skeptical because if it is, I can't tell you from what. I have definite shark teeth and this doesn't seem to fit the bill. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

Hi, I’m new to the forum and I live in Florida. I’m trying to get things sorted out to send the university my list of finds and I have a few head scratchers. These were found on the East coast between Fort Pierce and Jensen Beach. I have read that most fossils in this area are there because of beach refurbishment with material from inland sources. Thanks to this site I have been able to identify most of everything that is in identifiable condition. These three make me wonder and I would greatly appreciate it if someone would have a look. I can try to get better photos if you need and the scale is cm (roughly:)

Found this while rockhounding pilgrim haven beach this weekend in southwestern Michigan to get anything not picked over during this years season when I came upon this. I have truly no idea what this could be, it looks like a fish to me but would there be any nice fossils this late in the season? And if so could it even be a fish? I thought we had corals, crinoids, bivalves, etc fossilized but this does not seem to be those.

This was acquired in petoskey along the water and I'm still not entirely sure if it's even a fossil at all, it looks like it could be a crinoid stem to me but there are people who know more about crinoid fossils than me

Lower anterior from the modern Great Hammerhead: You don't see many teeth from this location - they're hard to find (somehow, I found this one at night! It was on the beach right next to the hotel.).-

Hello all, Novice newbie here from NW Ohio. I say that because it's only been a month or so that I've become obsessed with my beach fossil finds. So much so, that I've been doing a lot of online research to try to identify them. I'd visited several fossil sites but yours is the most comprehensive, scientific and active. I'll humbly try to do my own homework first so that I can attempt to make meaningful contributions as I learn. I've included one of my first and favorite finds so far.

From the album: Galveston Fossils
Over three days, I found a few beach treasures. I found a couple of ray plates ( the "v" shaped one is from an eagle ray), a pufferfish/parrotfish mouth plate, three shark teeth, and a couple of bones likely from a turtle. Scale bar = 1 cm.-

Hello all. New to the board. Just moved back to Florida after about 25 years and have resumed my childhood love for collecting shark teeth. I primarily walk the Ponte Vedra Beach/Guana areas. Have learned a few things from the locals while collecting, and wanted a place that may help ID any strange finds, so here I am!
