Trying to identify Jurassic or Triassic fossil from Somerset UKSomerset
Martin_the_paeleo posted a topic in Fossil ID
Hi all, I am trying to identify this fossil from a photo taken at Blue Anchor, Somerset. It shod be Triassic or Jurassic. At first I thought it might be a marine creature but it, doesn't look like a skeleton, so I thought possibly a large plant? It is perhaps 0.5 to 0.75 metres across. Many thanks.- 5 replies

Hi all, Maybe this find is past identification due to erosion, but i thought it may be of interest to others Length is around 8 inches I can see similar lines to the shell / tail feature on the right of the 'solid' part.. Wondering if anyone has any idea what it might be? is it two separate fossils perhaps? All the best Ben
