Seeking to identify era or epoch. Found near Sassafras in NSW, Australia
Littleforest posted a topic in Fossil ID
Attached are images of fossils all found in the same general location near Sassafras, NSW, Australia. Pen and money are for scale as I had no ruler. I’m seeking to identify the era of these fossils. I understand Brachiopods existed from Cambrian period onwards so hoping maybe someone here will know how old they are. I believe they could be Mesozoic. If you can identify the species of any items that would be even better. -

One from yesterday. What we call Michigan Devonian mud stone. I would like info on the large Brachiopod type, Mucrospirifer ? I do realize it is partially missing. I am not sure if sodium bicarbonate will clean up a lot of areas? Or how much it is worth doing. images 2-3 I call the bottom side, showing material under the holes. Thanks.
