Hello, I have what was traded to me as an ornithischian jaw from the Morrison Formation of Wyoming. It measures 5 cm high and has 2 teeth sockets. I believe it may be a Camptosaurus (due to being the only large ornithischian there) partial jaw, but I cannot exclude the possibility of it being a partial theropod jaw. May I have your thoughts? Thank you.

Hi folks, I just wanted to share my latest addition to the Jurassic wing of my humble collection! This is a beautiful near complete Camptosaurus ischium. It has great bone quality despite being extremely fragile. It's about 14" long and is just missing some of the flanges but is otherwise complete. The Morrison Formation is one of my favourites and I'm extremely lucky to have secured this specimen, as they don't come around very often in all my years of scouring the internet. I absolutely love it Cheers Marcus

Hi I am currently preparing a bunch of associated bones from Morisson Formation. The fossils have been found near the town Shell. The finder identified the bones as Camptosaurus and I agree with the ID. The jacket contains two femuri, ribs, parts of hip bones as well as a phalanx. It seems that all bones belong to the same animal. However, I am not convinced regarding the phalanx. I think it may not belong to this individual (or Camptosaurus). The campto digits I saw so far looked quite a bit different. If it is not Campto what is it then? Below please find some pictures of the jacked and one partially prepared femur and the phalanx. Size femur: 48cm / 19inch Size phalanx: 10cm / 4inch

Hello, can anyone take a look at these? A trio of Camptosaurus bones from the Morrison Formation, Big Horn Basin --- Not associated, but all are juvenile. They might make an interesting central display piece for my collection if they seem ok. Are they as described, and does anyone spot any repairs or restoration? First - Ischium, 13.2 inches.- 8 replies

Hands are very important to everyone including Dinosaurs .. here are some photos of your not so ordinary ones ........both herbivore and theropod. Some pretty cool configurations.. Paper on the evolution of Theropod dinosaur Hands https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10.1111/joa.12719 The evolution of the manus of early theropod dinosaurs is characterized by high inter‐ and intraspecific variation Daniel E. Barta, Sterling J. Nesbitt, Mark A. Norell First published: 08 November 2017 https://doi.org/10.1111/joa.12719 Have to thank Joao Vasco Leite for a bunch of these photos and info.from Twitter From the Triassic dawn of Dinosaurs here is the left hand of Herrerasaurus from Argentina Also from the late Triassic a sauropodomorph Plateosaurus, a beautiful specimen From the Early Jurassic of Argentina the ariticulated hands of the sauropodomorph Adeopapposaurus , wow The Jurassic brought us Dilophosaurus and sorry Jurassic Park fans there is no conclusive scientific evidence that it could spit poison Staying in the Jurassic here is Allosaurus and the different growth stages of its hand claws Also from the Morisson the tiny hand of the herbivore Camptosaurus The Jurassic also brought us the exquisite left forelimb of the stegosaur Gigantspinosaurus, from the Zigong Dinosaur Museum Stegosaurus hand material is quite rare, especially fairly complete ones. Morisson Formation One of the classics, first described by O.C. Marsh back in 1884. The left hand of Ceratosaurus. The bone to the right is metacarpal I, the first bone of the "thumb" . Have to wonder what it was used for. The Late Jurassic theropod Tanycolagreus ..cast From the early Cretaceous the hand of the recently described alvarezsaurid, Bannykus from China Also from the Early Cretaceous of Utah the left hand of Cedrorestes an iguanodontian Everyones favorite the hands of Deinonychus

Dear members of the fossilforum, I recently acquired this caudal vertebra of Camptosaurus dispar. the fossil label is as follows: Camptosaurus dispar, caudal vertebra Upper Jurassic, Morrison Formation From channel deposit near Bone Cabin Quarry, Albany County, Wyoming. Found by employee of Quarry lease owners. The questions I have about this fossil are: - Does anyone know the name of this channel deposit? - Does this vertebra look like it came from the Brushy Basin Member or more like it came from the Salt Wash Member? Thanks in advance for your answers, Sander
