  1. I've had this carcharodontosaurus premax for a number of years, infact, it was the first dinosaur fossil I ever knowingly aquired. I was looking at a worn down ridge on it and thought that it might be double serrated. Am I correct?
  2. Looking at a carcharodontosaurus tooth from a seller I've bought from before. I wouldn't ask opinion except that it's the most I've spent on a fossil. Per seller: Minor glue stabilization Minimal gap fill Bit of restoration at tip I see those repairs (at least I think I do, discoloration with loss of serations at tip, yellowish material in crack near the root) but I can't tell if a root is original or not.

    Carcharodontosaurus saharicus Tooth

From the album: Robs Fossil Collection

Carcharodontosaurus saharicus Tooth Age: Cretaceous. Formation: Tegana. Location: Taouz, Kem Kem. Tooth measures: 2.8 cm x 1.9 cm
  4. Hi, I purchased this carcharodontosaurus tooth a few months ago. It seemed legitimate, but my knowledge at the time was especially limited. I'd really like to get a second (third, fourth, etc...) opinion on it. I've attached some photos. I can try to get clearer ones if it helps. Thanks in advance.
  5. Hi everyone, I was recently offered this Giganotosaurus tooth. I was wondering if there was a way to distinguish it from carcharodontosaurus teeth from the kem kem beds? Or if anyone can share there opinion on this one, thank you.
  6. Last year when I was still a rookie in the dinosaur tooth collecting hobby I acquired a rooted Carcharodontosaurus in a trade. I was advised shortly after receiving it by a few people that it looks pretty fake. I have only just got the time to look in to this properly and my findings astounded me! Attached is a before and after image. The root is completely fake and the crown is made up of at least two different carch teeth and then glued together and painted. I have now thrown this tooth in the bin. My advice for all collectors so they don’t make the same errors as me and others I’m sure is to get second and third opinions before buying or trading!
  7. From the album: Dinosaur Teeth

This is my current collection of Carcharodontosaurus saharicus teeth as of October 29, 2014. I have added a few more specimens since my last post in August so thought I would add an updated photo. I have played around with different display options and personally like the Rikker boxes and want to create a upper and lower jaw-like arrangement. The age of this dinosaur teeth are Mid Cretaceous epoch, Albian stage (96 million years ago). There were all found south of Taouz, K'Sar-es-Souk province, Kem-Kem basin region of Morocco and range from 3.4 inches to 5.5 inches along the outer curvature.
  8. From the album: Dinosaur Teeth

This is a 5 inch Morrocan Carcharodontosaurus saharicus tooth measured along the greater outer curvature. The age of this dinosaur tooth is Mid Cretaceous epoch, Albian stage (96 million years ago). This tooth was found south of Taouz, K'Sar-es-Souk province, Kem-Kem basin region of Morocco.

  10. From the album: Dinosaur Teeth

This is a 5 3/8 inch Morrocan Carcharodontosaurus saharicus tooth measured along the greater outer curvature. The age of this dinosaur tooth is Mid Cretaceous epoch, Albian stage (96 million years ago). This tooth was found south of Taouz, K'Sar-es-Souk province, Kem-Kem basin region of Morocco.
