Wife and I own 10 acres in Central FL. Property is known for arrowheads and fossils, but we are new to the hunt. Contractor digging irrigation trenches turned up large, heavy chunk that looks like concrete in of sand and clay(?) chock full of signs of ancient life.

These are some of the more interesting items I have found over the last month or so. These were all found in about 6 inches of fill dirt under an old orange grove that was built 60+ years ago. There is the remains of a mined midden only a few properties over which was once a part of the same grove. I have seen but been unable to explore it since it is on private property. It is presumed our fill came from this nearby midden which is only a few hundred feet away. This site is about 2 miles from Tick Island. These were all taken in natural sunlight. Please feel free to comment or share any information you may have about any of these. I have numbered them for easy reference. A1- A complete long bone. Possible Deer? A2- Sinus/Skull Bone- Deer? Alligator? A3- Small Femur- Rabbit? A4- Antler Pieces? A5- Turtle Bone/Shell? A6 ??
