Hello everyone! New member, long time lurker through the forums. I recently went hunting in North Central TX, within the Woodbine formation for the first time and picked up this bone [attached]. I'm stumped and would greatly appreciate any insight you may have, understandably it's a bit degraded. Thank you for your help and time.

Trip to Whiskey Bridge over Brazos River (Near Bryan, TX)
emtreloa posted a topic in Fossil Hunting Trips
First time posting. Let's do this... We went fossil hunting with our two boys: 11 and 13. We had a blast and collected a lot of interesting fossils from the Eocene (Stone City and Cook Mountain formations). So many fossils! Lots of little things to sift through. We didn't find any shark teeth, but another person did and showed the boys to inspire them to keep looking.- 11 replies

God Bless all the Highways being built in Texas, all the roadcuts are worth making a brief stop. Where will amateur guys with very limited knowledge like me will go when no highways are built??? Well, today in one of those roadcuts I found a very nice Macraster. I love this type of fossil. Would love to have a bunch of them. This is only my third one, I never found them! They hide from me... However the ones that I´ve found are reallly nice looking.... The rest of the day produce the usual things: gastros, more gastros, bivalves, a couple 2 inch ammos and nothing more. But this Macraster made the day worth it. If somebody knows a place or general location where to find Macrasters, feel free to PM me...LOL... lets 2015 be a good one...
