Is this Elongatoolithid egg authentic
Seeabove posted a topic in Is It Real? How to Recognize Fossil Fabrications
Hello everyone, I am just curious if this Elongatoolithid is genuine. The owner states on his/her account that it would come with a certificate of authenticity and has had it for over a decade. It looks surprisingly real, though I am cautious as I have heard of how many fake Oviraptor/Citipati eggs there are.- 10 replies

My 3D print of a full size Citipati oviraptor skull. 3d files came from: https://cults3d.com/en/3d-model/various/life-size-citipati-oviraptor-skull-and-cervical-vertebrae. I had no idea how to paint when I started this. A lot of Google searching on how to paint and experimentation. Also printed Life size baby T-rex skeleton, which is about 7' long. I started 3d printing about a year ago when my wife and kids bought me an Ender 3 Pro for Christmas. Pretty soon I will have my own dinosaur museum in the house.

So here I have this egg that is once again the center of an argument on its authenticity. There are renowned experts and paleontologists on both ends. I thought I would let you guys take a crack at it. On one hand, its surface seem to have different consistency and texture. On the other hand, I cleaned this one myself, and the cracks do run across the entire egg. Do share your thoughts, thank you.

Most Chinese raptor eggs on the market supposedly comes from Guangdong. I've noticed that these range in size from 16cm all the way to fat 22cm eggs. Are these size variations indicative of them being from different theropod dinosaurs, or different oviraptorids?
