Hey all, I got this a while back, but it was too covered in matrix to do any solid ID'ing--until today! Appreciate any ID info/opinions you have. From the Cloverly formation, Montana CH: 12.6mm CBL: 6.8mm CBW: 3.3mm Mesial serration density: about 6/mm Distal serration density: about 3.6/mm Transverse undulations I'm not sure about interdenticular sulci, but I think that box is checked too Prayer

This bone was sold to me a while ago and was described as coming from Deinonychus antirrhopus. A little while later, it was simply put as a chunkasaur due to having no evidence of it being theropod. I recently found that there was a hole running straight through the bone that had been filled in by matrix during fossilization. All of the bone skin is also present asside from the broken ends. I think it may be time to reconsider this specimen. Edit: I couldn't figure out how to link the previous post I made on this.

Hi all! I got a digital microscope for christmas and I'm finally getting around to uploading the photos I've taken on it. Here are some closeups I took of a piece of bone I found when I hunted the Cloverly formation in Montana for a morning back on my first ever trip out west in 2013. Looking back on that experience with the knowledge I have now, I can truly appreciate what a rare experience I had as I've learned that this particular formation is rare to be able to hunt on. I'll tell the whole story of how my family and I made it onto this ranch in the first place, but that's for another time. Pics from the cross section: Pics of the surface of the bone:
