So I found this little thing last year, and haven’t been able to identify it. It was found in Sweden in a limestone quarry most finds are from the Creataous, local fossil hunters couldn’t id it ether, but some guesses was that it might be a scale or part of an octopus mouth. Thanks for any help! Eric

I found hundreds of these in San Antonio and would like to have a few interesting facts for my 5 year old students. My best guess from pictures online was they are exogyra? And they are from the Cretaceous period? I also do not want to give them the wrong information. Can anyone help? The pictures I am sending are all of just one fossil.

With the nice weather we have decided to head to Texas and tiptoe through the Cretaceous. First stop the NSR in Ladonia hope its not to picked over if anyone has any suggestions of other areas of the NSR they would be welcome. We will be staying in Florence, Tx and doing trips up to Waco and west of I-35 over to Abilene. Around the 3rd of April headed north collecting as we go Lake Texhoma, black cat mountain, maybe white mound. Would any forum members have any suggestions on sites in southern Oklahoma?
